It will still take months to empty since the 89,000 feet, andersons capacity is more than the other area reservoirs combined. Most pour into undergrounds aquifers. Californians will soon get their ballots in the mail. What voters should know ahead of november 3rd. Lets start with last nights debate whchlt asked about the vote by mail process, President Trump called it fraud. He said it was rigged houchlt do you respond to that . Well, its unfortunate because nothing could be further from the truth. Vote by mail is nothing new in california and in many states for that matter, both red states, blue states and purple state. Its proven for decades to be not just convenient for voters but safe and secure. And frankly its probably going to be your best option for voting this november to ensure your ballot is cast and we can protect you during the covid19 pandemic. What is being done in our state here in california to ensure that everyones vote is going to be received and that all of those votes are going to be counted . Thats a great question. And let me just acknowledge theres a Record Number of voters registered and ready to vote this november in california. Weve decided as a state to send every active registered voter a ballot by mail prior to november election with options for how to return it. But for folks that may be wondering how do i know my ballot gets counted, go to the statewide voter tracking tool to sign up to receive alerts by email, by text message or automated phone calls on the status of your ballot both on the way to you from the county and on the way back from the county and every voter will receive an alert when your ballot was received and counted. A lot of people are going to be voting by mail for the first time ever. Whats the most important thing that people need to remember to do the in order for that ballot to be counted . So, i think for either firsttime voters or first time in a long time voters, you will have the inperson voting option if you need it. With all the Public Health and safety guidelines in place. Our first recommendation is to vote by mail. If youve done it before, you know how convenient it is. If you havent before, not only is it reliable, but the one important thing we need to remind you to do two things. Number one, when you return your vote by mail ballot, it must be returned in the official envelope. And that envelope has a space on the outside of the envelope where the voter needs to sign. The signature verification process, compare the signature on the envelope with the signature on file as a voter is an important security measure we have in place. Dont forget to sign the back of the envelope. The other is make sure you send bakt on time. Every election cycle theres more than a handful of ballots disqualified because they were mailed back too late. As long as your ballot is postmarked on or before election day, well allow it to arrive up to 17 days after the election and still be counted. But it must be postmarked on or before election day. Okay. Thank you so much for your time. We appreciate it, sir. Thank you. Please stay safe. We will. Some new information now about the coronavirus.
