All lanes are currently blocked as crews arrived on scene, major da car there. Itl. Trying to find out about injuries. All lanes north 880 are closed. You can route off and on at either fremont or dakota to get past the scene. Well track it. Back to you. Breaking news this morning, firefighters in the south bay are investigating the suspicious restaurant fire that started about 2 00 in the morning located in a strip mall near downtown san jose on center road and tully. No one was injured, but we did see arson investigators at the scene. A worker said when he arrived he noticed broken glass, a brick and some kind of fire starting device. At this time the cause is still being investigated. A message this morning from californias Occupational Safety health administration, protect are workers from the pandemic or youre going to face fines. We have right now all lanes are still blocked by a crash. Three vehicles involved reports of debris across lanes and crews all arriving at the same time. All lanes are closed. They should be reopening almost all the lanes. Northbound 880 just past dakota means if youre heading to the dumbarton bridge you may be slowed by this. If you are shy of the dumbarton bridge jump on niles, youre fine. Again, all lanes three or four lanes should be reopening any minute. The bay bridge toll plaza is showing a light drive right now. At concord its 64 and upper 50s and low 60s for most of our microclimate. As youre stepping out expect it to be nice and clear, a good day for spending extra time outside. Eventually a push of milder air for the bay area and continuing to keep our air quality nice for today as well as tomorrow. Notice for the weekend well start to see it going from green to yellow and that means people with breathing problems who are sensitive to the wildfire smoke need to limit time outside starting on friday but continuing into the week as our temperatures heat up. As the High Pressure returns an offshore wind that starts to build on saturday and that increases our fire danger so when we get that offshore wind, those winds will start to pick up and it will possibly see gusts up to 50 miles an hour in our upper elevations. And with that descending air that moves across the hills into the Central Valley and across the bay area off the coast it dries out as well as warming up, and that increases our fire danger. Take a look at temperatures and how they respond to this wind direction. Well see our temperatures going from the 80s to the triple digits by the end of the weekend. We still have northbound 880 the site just past dakota road just past the dumbarton bridge in the northbound direction. Reports of all lanes blocked although the crash has been moved off the right shoulder, chp said thats a slow drive. Damage and debris in the dakota exit.
