with the fire captain in the past hour. no deaths are reported yet. >> that is some good news coming out of there, sharon. thank you. turning now to the wildfires burning across the bay area. the lnu complex fire is now 63% containi containinged. thousands of structures are threatened, none of them burned over the weekend. the fire has burned some 375,000 acres. the scu complex fire is now 60% contained. that fire has burned 80,000 acres. the fire is now 39% contained. this fire has burned 84,000 acres with close to 1200 structures destroyed. >> because of all those fires, we have to think about the air quality here. still not great air quality for us here in the bay area. >> not at all. we've had unhealthy air quality for several days. the smoke gets trapped by the fog, we have smog by conditions here. we're going to have unhealthy air quality in much of the bay area. this is one of the spots where we do have as of now, the best air quality across the bay area. we're going to trend more into the '80s today, this will be a little warmer than yesterday. there will be more spots in the inland east bay, reaching into the low 90s with concord and antioch reaching 83 degrees. san francisco reaching into the upper and some mid-80s for san jose. we'll talk more about that air quality and what's ahead in the coming week. if you can believe it, the burn scars from the czu and the scu fires, visible from space. nasa releasing these satellite images, taken last week. the large red areas you see there, that's where nasa 'infrared equipment picked up the burn scars. once the fires results nor this week's schedule. according to usa today, the rest of the a's players and staff have tested negative for covid 19. on saturday night, the team learned a member of the organization had tested positive while the team was in houston for its series against the astros. major league baseball postponed yesterday's game. the team we're not sure if they will host housten. before the results came out, the a's general manager said he didn't know if his team would be able to play in this week's three-game series. also not clear when yesterday's game against the astros will be made up. >> bob, thank you. it's a big day for hundreds of small businesses across the bay area. starting today, all the counties you see right here in red, with the exception of two you see there, will be allowed to have those nail salons and hair salons move back indoors. now, san francisco, alameda county, you see in the yellow, they're allowing hair grooming outside for the first time, nbc bay area sierra johns ing is with us in oakland with how one salon is making due with the changes. >> in addition to that new teered system, some business owners learned they were able to open under a new capacity. starting today, salons and barber shops in contra costa county are able to reopen their services to clients indoors. other counties, salons and barber shops can resume, but only outdoors. salon owner says the team in oak land only had one week from the day they learninged they were able to open outdoors to the moment of the first cut. they had to secure an empty lot behind their studio. they had to notify clients they were opening in a new capacity. while the business owner wishes they were opening indoors, she may never recoup 5 1/2 months of revenue, she's excited to be back doing what she loves. >> we get to stay open, because a lot of businesses have closed. and so it's a scary situation for business owners. not enough attention. not enough support. >> the salon and barber shops aren't the only ones easing restrictions. malls are able to reopen at 25% capacity. in oakland, sierra johnson for nbc bay area news about. >> the first public hearing in court battle. this is over reopening california schools. the governor wants to keep schools mostly online. the issue, if governor newsom exceeded his authority in making the order. the white house confirms the president will go to kenosha wisconsin. the city where a police officer shot jacob blake seven times in the back, leaving him paralyzed. scott mcgrew so far, the president does not plan to meet with blake's family. and said the white house had been efforting outreach to reach the blake family, the family's spokesperson ben crump tells msnbc, his toll-free phone number is available, and his office is across the street from the fbi headquarters in washington. he's told msnbc he hasn't heard from anyone. the white house wants the president to go to kenosha, to inspect the damage caused by reminder that colon cancer rates are rising in youn four-year fight with colon cancer. news of the deaths from his family sending shock waves around the world. he was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last four years as it progressed to stage 4. he died in his home with his wife and his family by his side. bozeman never spoke publicly about his personal battle. he shot some of his most iconic films during his battle. the interview said, you've been through the ringer. oh, you don't even know, he laughed. you have no idea, one day i'll live to tell hall weather. we know we've had to deal with a lot of smoke, heavy in the air, as we take a live look outside. let's take a look at those numbers. this is a measure of the particulate matter and how much smoke is making it unhealthy for you in the air. just know that the red is back. even with the fog right now, we're seeing some of the best air quality in the south bay and south county. even though we can tell its smokey overhead. as we head out for the afternoon around president anton. reaching into the upper 80s. we're also looking at some temperatures that have been well above normal in the south bay, reaching up to 85 degrees in san jose. we're up to 90 day in morgan hill. reaching up to 93 degrees in concord and antioch. oakland will reach into the mid-70s, along the coastline, we're keeping it cool here with some mid-60s in half moon bay. for the north bay, we're looking at high temperatures as warm as 97 degrees in ukiah. not that holt in santa rosa, other temperatures are heating up. we're going to see the fog hover around the coastline, it will give us our natural air conditioning. high heat will build across the region. we're going to feel that too. our high temperatures in the inland areas, in the 90s today and tomorrow. a slight cooldown by the end of the week this week and weekend. not so much of a change in san francisco. we're going to keep that fog
