Well, President Trump held a wideranging conversation with fox news over the weekend. And as scott mcgrew reports, Chris Wallace came prepared. Reporter it is a fascinating interview. Reporters all over the world including myself factchecked the president. And thats because the president constantly says things that are demonstrably false. But rarely do you see a reporter have the opportunity to say to the president , hold on, we got the proof right here. In the moment youre about to see, President Trump says theres a document, an agreement between Bernie Sanders and joe biden to abolish the police. That of course is false, and Chris Wallace tells him so. Says nothing about defunding oh, really . It says abolish. Lets go. Get me the charter, please. Chris, youve got to start studying for these. He says defund the police . He says defund the police. So lets see what this says here. Prosecution, sanctuary cities, incentivize illegal alien, expand asylum, abolish immigration detention. Thats not what this thing is many pages long. One of the most serious things the president had to say during that very long interview was he would not promise that he would accept the results of the upcoming election, win or lose. He also reaffirmed his plan to pull funding from american schools that dont fully reopen even after wallace pointed out that federal funding almost entirely goes to poor children and children with special needs. And the president , once again, touted the fact that he passed a cognitive test. Ill tell you what. Lets take a test right now. Lets go down joe and i will take a test. Let him take the same test that i took. Incidentally, i took the test too when i heard that you passed it. Its not the hardest test. No, but the last its an elephant. You see, thats all misrepresentation. Well, thats what it was on the web. Its all misrepresentation. Because, yes, the first few questions are easy. But ill bet you couldnt even answer the last five questions. They get very hard. Well, one of them was count back from 100 by 7. The final questions on that test that wallace is talking about are do you know the date including the year, and do you know where you are right now . Now, you could take the montreal cognitive assessment yourself. Ive posted a link to twitter and facebook. Twitter im scottmcgrew. President trump never said what cognitive test he took. But this is the Gold Standard for cognitive tests and the one that wallace mentioned. Back to you. All right. Thanks, scott. Well, happening now for you, firefighters are making headway knocking down that wildfire burning in fresno county. This is west of colleena. That fire has burned close to 27,000 acres over seven days destroying four buildings. Its also nearing 50 containment. The fire also making its presence known right here in the bay area contributing to the smokey skies. Well, today the air district, well, theyre expanding its air quality advisory, though through i should say at least through the end of the day. Looking at the skies outside right now, meteorologist kari hall is going to tell us what we can expect. But not looking too bad in some places. But then looking behind you, a little hazy out there. Yeah. This is looking from mount st. Helena as we are seeing that smoke thats moving in due to another fire called the hog fire thats over lasson county. Thats also pushing smoke into the north bay. As we look at our temperatures, its going to be a nice one. Mid60s near the coast. Some 70s by the bay. Some mid80s for the inland areas. But it will be as hot as 95 degrees farther north in ukiah today. Well talk more about the air quality and a look ahead to the rest of the weeks forecast coming up in a few minutes. Well, in portland, oregon, a battle brewing between the state and federal authorities. This is tied to chaotic protests. Angry parents and community members, they plan to join current Alum Rock SchoolBoard Members today in san jose. The meme apparently had quite an effect on gritty the mascot of the philadelphia flyers. The shaggy orange monster posted a video to twitter showing him discovering the meme and then coming to an unnerving realization about himself. It ends with gritty looking at the camera in googlyeyed horror as he holds up a handful of something he just pulled out of his own body, cake. So hes made of cake too. These are kind of crazy memes to check out. Back to you. That is crazy. Thanks, laura. All right. Why dont you take a look at this. This is a close call of a boy rescued before a shark attack. Police say an offduty officer was at the beach when several people started yelling shark. You can see the officer jumps in, pulls that boy to safety just before that shark got really close to him. So the shark is only a couple of feet away, but that was just scary. Look at that. Just in time. Thankful people were watching out. All right. Well, you know what . The temperatures here on the coast, not so good for getting in the water today, kari. A little bit too cold out there. Especially if there are sharks out there. Oh, my goodness, that was way too close. Lets get a look at this fog and the drizzle we have going on right now in San Francisco. You can even take a look at the camera and see the drizzle on the lens there. I want to show you another Vantage Point as we look from the north bay checking out the view from mount tam. And we can see that its clear here, but then as you get closer to the bay and the city, we are seeing some fog rolling by. So its not everywhere. Were fact all clear as we get a live look outside in walnut creek as we go into the rest of today, well continue to see a mostly clear sky for the inland areas. But its been a little hazy. We are still seeing that smoke drifting into the south bay. So the air quality, because we are seeing the drifts of smoke coming in has been an issue. But the good thing is that the smoke has been a little bit higher in the atmosphere. But were still seeing it moving into the north bay. This is a look at the count of particulate matter. It is still good but at times we are seeing the smoke. Just continuing to monitor that as we see more wildfires breaking out. So we have the main one, thats farther to the south. The mineral fire thats west of fresno, all of that smoke coming through the central valley, and then as that ocean breeze kicks in, thats our wind coming in from the west. Well, that also kicks that smoke off towards the east. So we are going to see our winds coming in from the west as we go into the rest of the evening and as the wind speeds increase, our air quality will improve. So we are looking at some good things there as we look at that smoke drifting in once again at times. Now as we look at our high temperatures expected to reach into the low 80s, even some upper 80s for the south county for the inland east bay, we are going to continue to warm up. Well see even some upper 80s for parts of the east bay. Its been pretty warm out there for oakland reaching 71 degrees. But look at how cool it is near the coast. Thats because that fog most likely wont clear out too much today. San francisco in the low to mid60s and for the north bay were seeing a range in temperatures anywhere from 67 in point reyes to 95 in ukiah. Its all about where you are. We are mostly looking at some low 80s, to the mid80s for the rest of the week. Our inland temperatures are very seasonable. But well gradually start to warm up. And by sunday were up to 90 degrees while San Francisco each day looking at some fog in the morning, but a little bit of clearing for the afternoon. Now back to you, marcus. Thanks so much.
