Weve also Learned Police shot and killed the gunman. He was 31 years old. This all started at about 3 00 this afternoon at the Distribution Center near red bluff. The Tehama County Sheriffs Office said the man circled the parking lot at the walmart four times before crashing his car into the building. Thats when he opened fire with a semiautomatic rifle. The witness at the scene describes the terrifying scene. I was more worried about the people that were injured by the car entering the building. I went to help a lady that was kind of trapped at the beginning, and at that point i started hearing gunfire. Officials say they have not figured out if the shooting is related to one earlier in the day in nearby shingle town. That shooting left three people dead. New at 11 00, a protest calling for justice for Breonna Taylor ended in bloodshed tonight. Video posted on social media appears to show a man opening fire into the crowd of demonstrators in a park. This is louisville, kentucky. One person can be seen seriously hurt in this video. Authorities have launched an investigation into the shooting. Taylor was killed in her home by police who were serving a noknock warrant on her boyfriend. Were learning new details about Elijah Mcclains disturbing encounter with officers last summer in aurora, colorado. This video of protests that continued well into the night. A clear sign of renewed outrage following the death of another young black man stopped by police. Mcclain was heading home from a Neighborhood Convenience store. The manager says mcclain was a regular. It was always his juice and his snack. He would come and put it on the counter and then buy with cash mostly and then give a bow before leaving the store. After mcclain left, he was walking and dancing wearing a ski mask. Someone thought that was suspicious, called 911. Police responded, stopped him. There was a scuffle. Police pinned him down, and they used a choke hold. During the struggle, paramedics came out and injected him with a sedative. He died days later in the hospital. The autopsy could not pinpoint a cause of death. An internal investigation cleared the officers, who have been assigned to nonenforcement for their own safety. But the governor announced a new independent investigation now. Protesters are calling for charges against those officers. That decision comes after the outbreak at san quentin continues to grow. As of this weekend, 613 prisoners have tested positive as well as 89 staff members. The prison had zero cases through march and april, zero. The outbreak was likely caused by an inmate transfer in may from a prison in chino.
