A search and rescue effort is under way after a passenger plane crashes into homes in pakistan. Officials telling us the Pakistan Airlines flight was just minutes before it was scheduled to land at Karachi International airport this is in the southern part of the country. So they are looking forward to going beyond curbside pickup. Santa clara county is the last to enter phase two but the countys Public Health officer says the curve is finally flat. Hospitalizations and icu cases are trending down and testing is ramping up with a positive rate of 1 . And positive signs like those that got the governor to change the restrictions for entering into phase two which is why now almost all of californias 58 counties will be able to enter phase two at some point in the futu future. It was given the approval to move into the second stage of phase two of Governor Newsoms road map to recovery. Solano county is the second county after napa county to do so. Solano county is waiting for approval to reopen restaurants, retail and other venues considered safe. Martinez is actually holding off on a plan to close off traffic along their main street on the weekend. City officials approved a plan this week to allow businesses to expand outdoors. They now say they want to wait until Contra Costa County allows more stores to reopen. San Jose City Council approved its own business outdoor expansion plan. Berkeley is expected to vote on a similar proposal next month. Many of us have been cooped up inside for several weeks during the shelter at home order. South bay firefighters working to save a strip mall from a fire. You see some of the flames leaping out of the building. Firefighters say it started with a nearby grass fire. No word yet on the damage to the strip mall. Walnut creek police are investigating an apparent double shooting. So yesterday they received a call around 6 30 about shots fired near newell avenue not too far from south broadway. A short time later two shooting victims were dropped off in a nearby hospital. Were still working to find out their condition and no word of any arrests. And now to a followup on the deadly scuba boat fire in Southern California. The conception boat went down last september killing 34 people off the coast of santa barbara. Now the coroners report is revealing all of those victims died of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Those deaths are considered accidental. The only survivors were the captain and four crew members who slept above deck. Many of the victims were from here in the bay area. Actress Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are expected to plead guilty to conspiracy charges in the College Admissions scandal. According to the u. S. Attorneys office loflin and Mossimo Giannulli agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. Prosecutors accuse them of paying half a million to get their daughters into usc. Loflin will be behind bars two months and her husband five months. The option of house arrest is on the table because of covid19 and its spread in prison.
