A lot of people were paying attention to it. They want to open their businesses. Reporter correct, laura. The Alameda County Health Department said they can go beyond their minimum basic operations and resume full operations this coming monday if they hold up its end of the agreement. The county says it had productive conversations with tesla yesterday about its Site Specific plan for a safe reopening and came to an agreement after suggesting some additional safety guidelines. Fremont police will help verify tesla is following social distancing protocols and sticking to its side of the agreement. Tesla reopened after Governor Newsom lifted restrictions for manufacturing in the state. However, Alameda County didnt lift those restrictions which meant that tesla was in violation of the countys shelter in place order. Tesla sued in federal court arguing that the state order should supersede the county order not the other way around. Teslas ceo elon musk even dared authorities to arrest him when he reopened on monday. Now its not clear if his company will face any consequences for reopening in spite of the county order.
