San mateo county deputies are revealing details about the shooting of a woman they say shot at them with a wirifle on main street. She later died from injuries. Breaking news to tell you about, firefighters are still at the scene of a brush fire that briefly threatened homes in eastern Contra Costa County. It started a little before 2 00 on marsh creek road near the regional preserve. This is video of firefighters working to put out the flames. The fire burned about five acres before firefighters got the upper hand. No word yet on the cause. New overnight San Mateo County deputies revealing details about the shooting of a woman they say shot at them with a rifle on main street. At half moon bay. She later died from her injuries. It happened at about 7 30 last night south of the downtown area. They say the woman was impaired and refused orders to drop her gun. She was in her 30s or 40s but has not been identified. Here is a look at the latest numbers across the bay area. Were now just shy of 9,000 reported cases of covid19. Now 328 deaths. Now to new details on the hearing in oakland that would have granted more Emergency Paid Sick leave to part time and gig economy workers. It had to be canceled last minute. This is last nights Virtual City Council meeting. Did not happen due to the requirement of a minimum number of people to be present in order for the meeting to continue. Its still not clear when the council will vote on the new ordinance. Social distancing rules did not stop some people in san jose from celebrating cinco de mayo. Police had their hands full managing traffic and crowds. In the parking lot in East San Jose tires squealed and strangers mingled. Only some people wore masks though they have the most cases in the area. People were selling masks, urging safety. And in some cases police had to force people to try to move along. All right. 6 57. The earlier crash is an alert that cleared but now in the last 20 minutes weve had these two issues pop up and we can see the issue from our camera in emeryville looking at westbound 80. The crash right under our camera. You see that. The right lanes are blocked as you are backed up to university avenue. And then out of the same area the richmond to san rafael bridge. The richmond side is jammed up because of a car fire on the span close to the san quentin side but still waiting for the Richmond Fire Department to help out there. All right, sounds good.
