Reporter and for those who were infected on the front line strengthened to help others beat the virus. Im more willing to jump in the fray now at work and offer to take care of a coronavirus patient thats known positive because probably less of a chance of me getting sicker from it rather than someone who hasnt. Echoes offshore. Its part of the system that is weakening on approach. Its going to add another lift to the clouds as they pass by the by area. You notice in the futurecast you can see spotty showers moving on by to the morning. And things may get a little more interesting for you up around lake county or northern sonoma and napa coins by 3 00 to 5 00 tomorrow afternoon as the futurecast are hinting at some higher reflect activities, maybe some convective showers with the peak heating of the day. As the sun schett seths whats left starts to shut down. Look how quickly the clearing takes place. High pressure builds, thats this area of orange here off to the weaves of california, storm track starts to head off to the north, and temperatures steadily, especially by thursday, friday, and saturday, reach their highest point of the week. Well see some upper 70s and likely some mid 80s in the forecast. In addition to these warm temperatures, lets take a longrange view of the precipitation as we go between now and all the way out to the 28th. It looks like the High Pressure is going to hold on for quite some time. So overall, look likes a tenday stretch beyond tomorrow where things will start to dry out and warm up. So the sevenday forecast for San Francisco into the 70s for the second half of the week. We should continue that trend as we head into next weekend. And notice how inland locations, soaring through the 80s, and very likely well hang on to the 80s through the weekend. Maybe trend a little cooler towards sunday. But few spots on friday. Demand for toilet paper really remains inexplicably high. So chris kichmura talked to a gastro endologist. The farmers almanac points out that in rural agrarian communities of yesteryear, corn cobbs were the most popular. Probably the majority of the world doesnt use toilet paper. We ran several alternative products by dr. Jan. Well get back to the corn cobbs. First, what about tissues, paper towel, wipes . Coffee filters . He says yes. Those are okay to use, as long as theyre clean. Crinkled phone book pages and newspaper might be okay. Just make sure the ink is soy based. But flushing anything other than toilet paper down the drain might cause other issues. You might quickly clog your pipes. If youre going to use other paper products, you need to put that in a trash bag and throw that out in your trash. So how about fabric cut into small squares . Some people call this a family cloth. He said yes, with restrictions. Today with modern washing machines, you take off that particulate matter, put that in the garbage, but wash it in hot water with detergent and you can certainly reuse that. Reporter reusable diapers did the same business decades ago. Hospitals still use reusable lotts to clean patients who cant clean themselves. Cloth squares are an option. Dr. Jan says you can always use water. Take a shower or keep a cup of water near the toilet. In the philippines, india, and so forth, thats a common way of cleaning ones self. Lets revisit the corn cobbs. Despite their prevalence in the past, he says no innything abrasive down there will cause irritation. One final bit of advice from dr. Janse, he says at a time when there is barely a square to spare, the key to conserving toilet paper is making good decisions in the kitchen.
