It can help the restaurant pay bills and get employees back to work. Theyve had to furlough about 80 of their staff as people shelter at home. By being able to help some people come in and do some work, its giving them an opportunity to keep getting a paycheck and keep their families fed as well. They say the Oakland Chamber of commerce has stepped up and theres an online fundraiser. They plan to add more restaurants to the Community Kitchen idea bringing support when its needed the most.
