She got into photography when she started to take pictures of her own children and others began asking her to take their pictures and she started to make money at it. Then money wasnt the point anymore. Hospitals like Santa Clara Medical center are the experts when it comes to saving precious lives. So cute you guys. Karen henrich is the one they turn to. On this day karen, a professional portrait photographer is shooting the following family. But like all of the children with serious illnesses and their families, the session and all of the pictures are free. Perfect. There is never any cost to any family. Karen said it all began by chance. 16 years ago. He was scheduled to do a friends son when something he was passing. To watch the emotions of my friend. To think about what they were going through. Just to be able to document for them what they were not seeing. I was seeing their love. Their connections. Their courage. Karen saw in that moment what she could do for other families in similar situations and started a nonprofit moment by moment to fund the session. Last year alone karen and a team of photographers captured more than 750 families at hospitals, hospices and camps all across the bay area. I feel like i have been given a gift. Seven members of Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety were in isolation since they treated that maners likely will be allowed to end their home self isolation. We continue to track the growing number of confirmed cases across the bay area. Several more cases have been announced in contran costa and santa clara counties. Contra costa and San Francisco counties are recommending that Public Events be cancelled all together. For the last eight years the pair paid regular visits at low tide to document the creatures that call it home. What you can explore and find out here is just amazing. We have six spots like this on the beach. In this spot low tide reveals a moon scape type reef with tide pools. Just seeing what we can find. The Sea Creatures living in the reef has never been recorded until now. Since the project began they documented 650 species. These three species of hermit crab. They are not just made of official scientists but volunteers helping with the counting. Anyone that can count. We will teach anybody. A wonderful way to get out and enjoy nature. Using creatures. They have been living in a foster home. Now they are ready for their forever home. What kind of home would be good. I feel like you brought them in once before. They are adorable. That is why we had them in a foster home. There is a socialization period when they were young. They grew up in a home with kids. They are great with kids. Really friendly.
