And it carried him he won all but i guess three states you know, the happiest place on earth, but. It is so wrong whats being done to try to purge people from voting lists, not let them register or as we saw in places yesterday, particularly in texas, you know, the republican side gets five machines or gets 25 machines, the democratic side gets five machines people were literally standing in line for seven hours. And i want to applaud everybody who stood in a line yesterday because they were doing the right thing [ cheers and applause jimmy absolutely for our country and, you know, the candidates also have to have to be willing to admit, russia interfered last time theyre interfering this time. And i have to add, if you havent gotten the seasonal flu shot, get it now because the best guessing by the experts is that it could slow down or help if this other virus, you come in contact with it jimmy yeah were you surprised with how the Trump Administration handled it i wish i could say i was surprised. And i thought, you know, it would be fun i love talking to people and i like being on your side instead of my side for a a change i get to ask the questions i also had really incredibly positive experiences with howard stern and conan obrien when i went on their podcast well, obviously howards radio show, which is like a very long podcast, two hours and 20 minutes jimmy no and yes, thats how long i was on jimmy did you do two hours two hours and twenty minutes. Jimmy wow. And i think, finally, you know, all of us were just exhausted. But, i thought jimmy hes great though. Hes an amazing interviewer jimmy he really is i mean, id never been on his show he told me, see, if youd come on my show before, you wouldve won. [ laughter ] and so, maybe hes right maybe he probably is. But it was it was a a fascinating experience so when people came and said, hey, would you like to do that . I said, well, give it a try see what happens, yeah. Jimmy i think youre going to be great at it. Yeah. Jimmy i do, i do [ cheers and applause well, you will come on my show some time jimmy i would love to come on the show. Okay. Jimmy done booked okay, all right jimmy i totally i would love to come on. So im booking im booking jimmy fallon on my yet to be named podcast. Jimmy yeah ive got to say, ive watched this docuseries on hulu of you it is fantastic. Oh, thanks. Jimmy i loved it so much thank you [ applause ] jimmy it is so well done the director, Nanette Burstein burstein. Jimmy Nanette Burstein, fantastic job. She did an amazing job. I mean, because it was all her i was interviewed for 35 hours but she was the one who pieced it all together. You know, it originally had started off as a look at the 2016 campaign cause we had about 2,000 hours of footage and people came to me again and said, hey, why dont we use it . So thats what we thought we were agreeing to and then, she looked at all of the footage and came back and said, you know, theres a a bigger story here. And its a story not only of your life, but really, the womens movement, womens lives. Its a story of our politics how did we end up being so partisan so she created the narrative, and then, pieced it together in those four hours i think its an amazing, you know, film because of the way that she did it. Jimmy i was thinking about it because i know chelsea and i have interviewed her before. And i was thinking, how great is that to see how awesome your mom was . Oh, thats very nice of you to say jimmy it is phenomenal and to see how you theres one great story told about when youre growing up and your mom and dad and you would play cards with these republicans i want to say. Theyre like republican card games. And you would get so mad and you get so mad at your dad, just to make him mad, you go, when i grow up, im going to thats right. [ laughter ] you know what, i did [ applause ] jimmy that really made me laugh. I thought that was so funny. I thought that was so cool and then, just to see how youve grown, and then, everything you have gone through. Its not even what a normal human could even go through. Its phenomenal. What a great story well, im really happy you had a chance to watch it i mean, it is its, you know, four onehour episodes but everybody whos seen it jimmy i can binge it all binge it all yeah. Jimmy just watched the whole thing. Its so easy i loved it and the last part, you actually said you talked about the election and you said, well, even though i lost, theres a Silver Lining. Yeah, i do think that jimmy what is the Silver Lining well, i mean, the first part of that to me was right after the inauguration when the womens march happened the biggest demonstration and biggest march in history of the world as far as anybody can measure not just in our country but literally around the world and then, watching what happened in elections in 2017 and 2018. So many young people, so many women, people of color getting out there and saying, you know, im not just going to be on the sidelines. Im going to try to make a a difference. So that new energy and awe of that commitment that im seeing across the country, i really believe its not only a Silver Lining, but i think its our future i think its going to make a a huge difference, at least i hope starting in november of this year.
