By tomorrow morning, and we are starting out with the most part of the bay area clear sky and dense fog moving into the north bay and a live look into san rafael right now. And then we will see the storm as it is moving closer and the center of the storm winding up and still off of the coast while some of the rain is moving out ahead of it into the north coast and moving closer to the bay area by later tonight. We can start to see the cloudy showers around santa rosa and ukiah and northword tonight and tomorrow morning. But some of the rain wont get here until 5 00 or 6 00 in the morning. In the north bay, we will see the snow starting out in the north bay peaks and then the heavy rain rushing from the north to the south in tomorrow morning as we go through the morning commute. We are going to have a heavy rain and also some gusty winds and snow on the bay area hills and mountains and then going into the day tomorrow, and still some scattered showers that may also bring in some thunderstorms. We will be watching out for all of this and talk about the rain that we are missing, and how to prepare for the snow, and it is coming up in the full microclimate forecast. Thank you very much. Engine 30 out of service indefinitely. Station closes. Reporter with that, the Union City Fire station engines were taken out of service and as the two fire trucks drove away, the fire station was locked up. They cited the number of calls for service which it says is among the citys lowest in the city at about two per day, but they say that the numbers dont fully illustrate the stations value. There are two fire stations on the west side of 880, and we will be losing one of those. And when the singular company goes on another call, we have to rely on the resources to come from the center of town, and talking about 6 to 8 to 15 minutes of time to respond to this neighborhood. Reporter station 30s nine firefighters and two rigs will be reassigned to union citys other fire stations and the alameda fire station. They stated that closing it is right to keep the community financially healthy. We are moving forward to look at more Cost EffectiveService Delivery models that meet the changing needs of the community. So the calls to the station were not fire calls, but they were medical calls. 80 of them in fact, and so the city needs to find a way to allocate the resources to respond to the medical calls rather than staffing fully for fire calls that are in the minority. A delta flight had to dump fuel, but it was jet fuel and it happened over a residential neighborhood yesterday and included several schools and playground that was filled with children. They cannot just dump the fuel anywhere. Reporter this morning the investigators looking into the rare site over the city, and jet fuel raining down from the sky hitting the people from down below. That is Miguel Almaguer reporting, and in a brief statement, it is part of a normal procedure the reach a safe landing way and thankfully all of the children were treated on the scene and all were hospitalized. City leaders are putting the foot down when it comes to coal exports. They voted to phase out the storage of coal at richmond facilities. The coal originally emanated from utah and was at the port of utah. It handles one fourth of all coal exports. California lawmakers debating changes of recycling and having Beverage Companies return their own recycle system. California is one of five states to provide a refund for bottles or cans, but half of the states recycling centers have closed in recent years and the supporters have said it is tossing people into and the recyclables into the garbage. And a pot dispensary is located two blocks from the high school, and the leaders have tentatively approved the plan, and they have raised the red flag being so close to the high school. So you do need to bundle up as you are ready to head out, and you can leave the umbrellas at home, and once again the rain does not arrive until later and the temperatures are making it to 50 degrees at lunchtime and mid 50s today and this is the best we will do and the temperatures will be cooling off again later this evening with a few of the areas seeing a little bit of sunshine and looking at the storm system right now, and it has been strong and still the center of the storm off of the coast, and we can see it spinning there as it is approaching the Pacific Northwest and bringing some rain and snow. We are also going to be seeing some wet weather make it into the north bay by this evening, and looking at the hour by hour outlook, and the green indicating the light rain, that is at about 8 30 tonight, and we will see some of the heavier rain moving in around 5 00 to 6 00 in the morning in the north bay, and also some of the spotty showers arriving at the coast, and as we go throughout the morning from 5 00 to 8 00 in the morning, it is the peninsula and the east bay and approaching the south bay. So we do have several hours of the rain that is going to be falling, and so even at 10 00 to 11 00, we are seeing the heaviest rain over the south bay and notice the transition of the colors over the hills to the north of morgan hill. That is Mount Hamilton and as you go up to elevation, it is going to change over to snow. We will see it on the bay area peaks as we get some cold rain and high winds and also some heavy rain. Going into 5 00 or 6 00,ring of may be some scattered showers to be enough to produce small hail and possibly thunderstorms and then out of here as we head through friday. If you do have travel plans to see jere ra, we will start to see the heavy snow getting going around 9 00, so if you to travel between now and then, now is the time to hit the road, because after 9 00 in the morning, we will see the heavy snow coming down and low visibility and it is going to continue throughout the day on thursday moving out by friday. Here is a look at all of the impacts that we are expecting from storm moving in. For us, rainfall from 1 to 3 inches and higher amounts along the coast and the hills. Thunderstorms are a possibility with the gusty winds around 40 miles per hour, and snow levels dropping down to 3,000 feet, and sierra snow from 2 to 3 feet. One of the stories that we saw published yesterday in the advance of the atmospheric sciences, the Ocean Temperatures has increased since 1980, because of the impact of the acidic water around the coastal areas and the ocean, and that is impacting the marine life and melting ice and stronger storms which impact the bay area.
