Large piles of trash on fire. No one was hurt. Whats going on now is firefighters are rotating in and out. Theyre putting foam on those trash piles and then digging in them. Theyre trying to dig down to the source of this fire, and it is hard work. Im told theyre rotating firefighters in every 45 minutes because they need to come out and get air and rest. And theyre also decome tkdecong them because the smoke is to toxic. They are expecting a long night. Hopefully we will get it knocked out within the next couple of hours. According to the companys website, this site collects recycling materials from landscapers, homeowners. You name it, it would be in these trash piles. I have a sixyearold daughter, and what i saw was not okay. Reporter gomez was on patrol. He went over to see what was happening after he saw a man get into a mack seat of a mini van with a girl. I told him to step out of the vehicle. He refused. I drew my weapon and i had him step out of the vehicle and he came out. He came out and i handcuffed him properly and called san jose pd. Reporter the guard says the girl was in shock. I go, are you okay . She just gave me a blank stare and said no. Reporter he has been charged with four felonies. The victims family hired him several years ago to drive the little girl back and forth to school. Gomez says he wants to see justice served. Give him life. Give him life, all of them. They asked our consumer investigator for some help with an unexplained charge. Chris . Carol and kent tell us their typical water bill is 150 a month. Imagine their alarm when they got a bill for 960. Look at this chart. It shows the sudden spike. Here are the months before the spike. There is the spike and there it is afterwards. They say that water use never happened before and hasnt since. So they contacted the city. It sent a technician to look for leaks, but he didnt find anything.
