Marching in the streets in San Francisco, hundreds of people making it clear they expect members of congress to vote to impeach President Trump. No one is above the law, and this guy is clearly violated the trust and the presidency. What is do we want . Police released the body cam video tonight that shows a Man Threatening officers with a bottle. But was it enough to take action . We do warn you, you may find this disturbing. A man just broke into our apartment. Reporter Police Officer sterling hayes and Christopher Flores were responding to calls of home and car breakins. When police tried to question the 24yearold, they say he attacked one of the officers with a glass vodka bottle. And then the other officer, at one point he appears to charge at the officers who opened fire, hitting him three times. [ gunfire ] they called for medics and backup, and minutes later i didnt want to do that. Reporter and tonight im tired of you spreading terror in the mission and anywhere else here. Reporter a tense Public Meeting led by sspd top brass, saying the video was an attempt to be transparent, along with the pictures of the bottle and the injuries one officer suffered from the attack. Ian cole, nbc bay area news. A 71yearold man suffered serious injuries during a fire at a home in belmont around 3 00 on chula vista drive. Sky ranger was overhead minutes after that fire was under control. Police say there were reports of an explosion just before the fire started. Actually, my daughter called me when i was on my way home and said the house next door is on fire. Im like, get out, you know, get across the street. Go to the neighbors. No word on what caused the fire or if that explosion actually occurred. A bizarre situation at an Industrial Area in south San Francisco. Police and medical crews were called to a warehouse near 101. When they arrived, they found four people had overdosed on fentanyl. Officers say it appears they were using the drug intentionally. That a narcan was given to all four. This is the latest catch. He took a package off the porch. But the packages were bait, set by police. Officers say they rolled up and arrested her. A federal bankruptcy judge approved two pass save pg e settlements. The first is an 11 billion cash deal, between the utility and private insurers. Money from a separate 13. 5 billion settlement will go to wildfire victims. This is light now at the end of the tunnel. Now, 37 years later, Fremont Police have identified their killer as clifton hudspeth. Investigators used genetic genealogy to crack the case. We started going through using ancestry. Com and branching out with family trees. And we were able to branch out over 400 family members. Now you start using your best skills saying who was living in that area at that time. Reporter its the same Dna Technology used to identify the golden state killer, a case that made international headlines. Chifton lived near where the victims were found. Clifton himself died in 1999. Its comforting to the family, now they know who did it. Reporter Fremont Police are now sharing this killers dna with investigators nationwide. Were hoping to close a couple more cases with this. Reporter marianne favro, nbc bay area news. A controversial new Homeless Center in San Francisco is days away from opening. The Embarcadero Navigation Center will open the stores the 200 homeless people. The facility has dorm cell beds and Conference Rooms set up for case managers set up. The center will have a security staff and four extra Police Officers will be assigned to the closest police station. It will open by the end of the year. A fastmoving and deadly vaping epidemic as hit the bay area hard. Now some School Districts are hitting back. Filing lawsuits against the local ecigarette company. Scott budman has more. Reporter with 20 of its students saying theyve used ecigarettes this year, the San Mateo County School District is fighting back. The goal is to really address this epidemic of vaping. Reporter hector is the president of the San Mateo County board of education. He told us why several bay area School Districts, including San Francisco unified, livermore valley, and Jefferson Union high filed lawsuits against bay area ecigarette maker juul labs. We know that juul is using marketing techniques and Product Design that is targeting the youth. And its used in the middle schools and high schools, and the rate in the county is significant. Reporter the lawsuits, which follows others filed in other states, come as medical professionals raise dire warnings about young people vaping. We also have a lot of concerns about what the effects are going to be on the huge numbers of teens and young adults getting addicted to these products at a time where their brains are still developing, and their lungs are still developing. Reporter we reached out to jewel labs to comment. The company says it does not intend to attract underage users. And to the extend these cases allege otherwise, they are without merit. Theyre accused of pumping waste water into fisher creek for years. That waterway joins coyote creek which flows into San Francisco bay. Today, Monterey Mushrooms agreed to pay over 2 million to settle the pace. That money will go toward restoring the creek. I want to bring in chief meteorologist jeff ranieri. We talked at the beginning of the show what we can expect with those showers coming in. Really over tonight and the next couple of hours well see the rain beginning to pick up with possibly some heavier pockets, even into the morning commute. Lets bring you into our microclimate forecast. Good to go for your wednesday morning. I did want to start off with a look at where the storm system is. The cold front is beginning to push in, providing the uplift necessary to help provide some rainfall. Any time you get uplift, it takes moisture at the lower levels and brings it into the upper atmosphere, able to reach its condensation point and you get rain drops out of that. So were seeing that happening down to about the santa cruz mountains. A closer view here, it looks to be some moderate and a few heavier pockets. Storm ranger is close to the ground, so its able to get a better scan of what you are experiencing. Again, moderate with heavier rain, but lets fade on storm ranger. You can see most of what people are experiencing now, some showers coming down, emeryville and oakland, just light rain. Its not extremely heavy, but we expect this to pick up in intensity. Right now, some of those showers moving off to berkeley by 11 54 tonight. Ill take you off towards the south, and you notice some of this rainfall moving into palo alto by 11 58 tonight. As we move into the overnight hours, its going to be very spotty in nature, its just that kind of storm system. By tomorrow morning, youll have to watch out the most here, youre going towards San Francisco or anywhere in marin, napa, sonoma counties. In the south bay and east bay, its going to be very scattered. We should eventually start to see this storm system push on out of here as we head through tomorrow afternoon. So due to the short duration of this storm system, were not expecting a ton of rainfall. Anywhere from a 10th to a third of an inch for most of the bay area, and some of the highest elevations would be right around one half of an inch. So umbrella needed tomorrow, also that jacket as well start off cold. 45 in the south bay. Trivalley at 43. 42 in the east bay, San Francisco and the north bay with. That rain moving in tomorrow, temperatures are not going to warm up a lot. San jose, 58 degrees. Gilroy at 57. Over to the east bay, 54 in vallejo. Lets take you to the peninsula, 55 in redwood city. San francisco, a little bit of a wind at 12 miles per hour. And in the north lay, clearlake at 49, sonoma 53. Lets spend some time on this, and you can see how i positioned things. We get the rain chance through tomorrow. Dry on thursday and friday, and once we get to the weekend, we get the next storm system moving in. Right now it should start to push in through the evening hours on saturday. 7 00 to about 11 00 p. M. , so not wet all day long. With that 49ers game, we could see showers around the fourth quarter. I think were wetter here on sunday and continue rain chances into monday, with a threeday rain total anywhere from a quarter to one and a quarter of inches. And then showers on christmas eve. So far looks great for santa claus to move across the bay area, so no problems for all those kids. Lets bring it into the inland forecast. 50s here for daytime highs.
