I can tell you that it came down so quick, there are some intersections like this one here at 15th and larona that were basically flooded out. They were a pool. You can still see people here who are cleaning up because of a lot of the flooding. The water line from the flooding here came pretty high. I want to show you right here, water line. And you can see that it went into this particular house. This is their garage. This is the cervantes family. They were going to have a Birthday Party here. But plans will have to be delayed a little bit. Well show you video from a viewer from a resident here of the way it looked when it was raining. You can see that it is very deep, that water. It went quite high. In fact, there were vehicles that were trying to figure out if they should go through the intersection, and the warnings are not to go through water that is that deep. Lets go ahead and show you some video from around the rest oingt out here. You can see that there were lots of intersections that were pretty well inundated by this water. The problem is that theres a lot of debris that gets caught up in the storm drains. And it makes it very difficult, sometimes impossible, for to clear out, the standing water so quickly. It was so bad at some points that even water started flooding into the San Francisco muni cube, and they had to shut down service for a little while longer. Coming out back live to this particular street which you can see there are a lot of homes here that are affected, they are clearing up the street. Of course, they are also going to be clearing up a whole lot of the damage that actually a loot of the water that went into these homes. A man and woman were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The tree did not do much damage to the house. A deadly crash in the east bay. Police are looking into whether the rain was a factor. Happened after 3 00 in the morning on highway 2 had 24 in orinda. The driver crashed into a tree head on. The three people in the car all died at the scene. Two lanes of the highway closed during the investigation. Chp has not identified the driver but say the passengers were a man from oakland and a man from hayward. Police say around 8 30 this morning, officers responded to a prowler in the process of burglarizing a home. The officers made contact with a person matching that same suspect description. Now the suspect allegedly assaulted the officers, and several neighbors sayy the exchange. I heard in rapid succession either four or five gunshots followed by a pause of a few seconds, and then a final shot. The suspect is in the hospital with lifethreatening injuries. Not quite Strong Enough to hold off at least a chance of a few showers. Mainly for areas north of San Francisco. Well have this relatively weak looking system there tuesday night and wednesday. A few more showers may be possible in the north bay there thursday and into next friday. But overall, rain chances for the next seven days, not as intense as what weve seen over the last week or so, especially this afternoon in San Francisco. Weve put in the rain totals there for those shower chances. Again, pretty minor. Less than a quarter inch both instances. We will get some time to dry out after that steady rinse cycle around the bay area and more snow pilinging up in the sierra.
