Hi the v in walnut creek right now, and so it is really hard to see, just allow extra time to get to work this morning, with all of this rain falling it looks to continue as we go throughout the day. Well talk about this and take a look at storm ranger coming up next. And i could usually get some contrast in my view but here on the peninsula we have the wet lens as well. Wet conditions on the roadways, 101 moves smoothly. Well talk about the update. We have a couple of crashes, the latest in the south bay. Youre watching today in the bay. Kim is now demonstrating her congestion. Save it slimeball. Ive upgraded to mucinex. We still have 12 hours to australia. Mucinex lasts 12 hours, so im good. Thats got to be so, you know, what a moment for him. You give your call and they say thank you. Thats cool. I heard he knows the name of every Single Person picked in the draft before him. Because i deserved to be there, too. Uszs uses it at motivation. Well hang your all right, look, weve been hanging on to this rain for a long time. Yes, its going to be off and on today. Make sure youre prepared, because we will see waves of more of this wet weather rolling in. Its been so good to us because weve seen in some parts of the south bay, mostly at about a tenth to a quarter of an inch. Well add on to that as we see the system lifting back to the north, this is part of that same system brought us all of the rain earlier this week and over the weekend. So as we take a look at storm ranger, thats how mobile doppler radar, the red scan were seeing there coming from san bruno mountain, some of the heavier rain moving over east Contra Costa County, as you get ready to head out the door. Its going to be soggy for that commute out of the delta. Were going to see once again waves of this rain coming in. Where s indicates theig it hour by houre still going to have some rain moving in, but very hit or miss, and most of it will be light for the morning commute, going into the rest of the day, by sing as much of the rain, but theres still a chance as we go into the afternoon, into 5 00, were seeing for the evening commute san jose, palo alto and hayward getting around the rain but that lifts to the north, and then its still going to be with us going into tonight but we are expecting a break going into tomorrow, but for the most part were going to see about a half inch of rain or less, with some of the higher amounts around san jose and over toward the santa cruz mountains. We see all of that rain falling this morning, looks so soggy, and so make sure you grab that umbrel umbrella, maybe also a good day r puddles left behind. Into the next several days rain chances staying with us, once again dry tomorrow. On friday a new storm will be arriving, and this will bring in some high winds and rain throughout the day on friday, as well as saturday, and it looks to linger, its moving a little bit slower, could continue into at least sunday morning. And then there will be another short break before another storm system moves in for next week, so its going to stay busy here. Looking at the computer models, it shows how much rain we could see and i know it looks pretty impressive. We could see anywhere from one to possibly nearly four inches of rain, and it does show with that storm system on friday into saturday we could see up to four inches of rain in napa. That last storm system just kind of soaked into the ground, as we go into the weekend, it may cause some brief street flooding especially during the heaviest time of that rain as it moves through. And then we do dry out on monday and tuesday, but once again, its going to be cool and another storm system will be right behind that. Mike, you were looking at ung we radar, to look at whats going on. Storm ranger with the red scan showing you all the activity, so scattered all around the bay, nowhere is without radar activity so thats the issue. Also we have wet roadways all over the place. The blue shows you where theres more ponding and puddling. The latest crash is in san jose, well talk about that in one second but i wanted to show you we still have the slowing for west 580 approaching North Livermore avenue, one lane blocked by a crash, a big distraction with the wet roads. The rain possibly coming down where they are right there, slick conditions for sure. Suspects 87 at 280 an area where we oftentimes hear about flooding today. Heard about a minor crash in the area but with some rain in the area well watch for the usual suspects and possibly some flooding in the outer ldowntown. Over here, here is the bay bridge toll plaza, definitely a glow to the lights and water on the lens. Cash lanes off to the left still have one lane still not open for the morning commute but this is an early start for the backup here. Well watch, folks are taking it easy on the speeds. Thats good. Back to you. Thanks, mike. New this morning, richmond leaders have placed a vote to phase out coal shipments on the back burner. So we are starting out with cool temperatures, and another round of rain, but this is still a part of the same system that brought us all of that heavy rain over the weekend. The center of the low pressure is now rolling back across the bay area, and giving us some rain. Some of the heaviest rain has been moving through eastern Contra Costa County, and pushing off towards the east. The rest of the bay area left with some light rain, so expect rounds of this, as we go at least through the next several hours and it starts to taper off to more scattered activity, and then the rest of the day is just going to be wet, coming in waves, so rain chances even into tonight. Well talk about our dry day in the forecast and a bigger storm ahead, and mike, you have a soupy view from richmond. Thats right, chances o100 . Here the richmond side picking up
