The team evacuated from the arena in Salt Lake City this evening following their game against the utah jazz. A Security Guard found a suspicious toolbox inside the arena. A bombsniffing dog gave a positive hit on that box. That prompted everyone in the arena to evacuate. The warriors were in the middle of their postgame interviews and were rushed to their team buses. Just minutes ago, the Salt Lake CityPolice Department told us that box posed no threat, so an allclear has been given. The warriors are now on their team plane. Another dangerous incident on 101 near gilroy. A Football Team from Carmel High School was on its way to a playoff game in san jose when that team bus was hit by some kind of projectile. It happened in prunedale, a stretch of 101 where thousands of people were actually traveling for the holiday week. Also concerning, this isnt the first time its happened there. Ian cull joins us with the details of this incident. The chp says this is actually the 40th vehicle thats been hit by a projectile this year. Investigators say all of these attacks are deliberate, and tonight theyre searching for suspects. The problems for the Carmel High SchoolFootball Team hit hours before kickoff. Someone hit the bus with a projectile hard enough to shatter a window while they were traveling on 101. Tonight the quarterbacks parents waiting for him to arrive at the game at Branham High School in san jose recall what happened. We cheered on both of the Carmel School buses going along the road, and about how many minutes later, teresa . Just about 15 minutes later, our son text us and said, a rock went through the side window. Reporter and its the second time today a vehicle was hit by something on northbound 101 near the busy 156 interchange in prunedale. A mercedes was struck minutes before the bus. Two people were hurt. Its the 40th time this has happened since february. Were taking these incidents very seriously, and were dedicating all available resources to locate the persons responsible. Reporter parents say a carmel player was hit in the eye by glass but was treated and released. The team sbichwitched buses ande it to branham for the game. Family members were happy to see their kids safe and back on the field. We want to avoid that area now, especially with what happened tonight. The chp has been on it, but someone starts hitting school buses, it really you know, its too bad. A 1,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest. While the parents tonight say it was a rock, the chp is not saying what kind of projectile is hitting these cars. Such a busy stretch of 101 too. All clear. Just under 15 minutes ago, the bomb squad gave the allclear for a south san jose apartment complex. Residents were forced to evacuate last night after a man was holed up in an apartment. After he was taken into custody, police found lots of explosives. Nbc bay areas sergio quintana, 24 hours later, residents finally allowed back in. Reporter yeah. Just about an hour ago, the san jose Police Department actually started shrinking the area they had cordoned off in this neighborhood. About ten minutes ago, that announcement came that there is an allclear. There are still only a few units here. Really all theyre doing is wrapping up after a very busy day here. San jose Police Bomb Technicians have been meticulously removing items from inside the suspects home. But this scene is much less chaotic than last night. When i come outside, i hear come out with your hands up. We have the block pretty much surrounded. Come out. Reporter in cell phone video, you can hear the siren and the police bullhorn. At about 2 30 a. M. , Police Arrested andrew white on an outstanding drug warrant and for resisting arrest. A woman who says shes his wife told us hes not a bad guy and the police went overboard taking him into custody. It was a stupid like probation thing. Then it got blown completely out of proportion. Reporter once white was under arrest, the San Jose Police brought in its bomb squad including a remote controlled robot to help safely remove what they describe as several improvised explosive devices. According to our sources, white may also have an out of state criminal history related to explosives. That person was not a good person. He was always driving a motorcycle really bad. He would do whatever he wanted, and nobody would tell him nothing. Reporter police say their investigation is related to tuesdays incident at nearby oak grove high school. An explosive was found near the studen students parking lot and the school was locked down but detectives have not been able to confirm white is directly responsible for that incident. And once again, the Evacuation Order has been lifted in this neighborhood, so residents can now return home who had been evacuated for probably about a full day now. She got out of her wheelchair and onto the ground to help that man who was stabbed on b. A. R. T. Today, sofia humphrey shared with us her story. Shes legally deaf and suffers from a condition that forces her to use a wheelchair. When a Good Samaritan, oliver williams, was stabbed on tuesday, humphrey tried to keep williams alive. Police say jermaine brim stabbed that Good Samaritan to death on the b. A. R. T. Train. I happened to have some medical gloves on me, so i threw them on and jumped out of my chair and tried to slow the bleeding as best i could. Humphrey says she wants Williams Family to know he was not alone in his final moments. Weve learned more about the suspect. This is jermaine brim. Hes awaiting trial in San Francisco on a separate case. That case included charges of negligent firing of a gun. It happened in may. It will be a moderate storm on the scale of things, and look at this. Low sierra snow, maybe to 1,500 feet. 2 to 20 inches. Thats going to be the wide ranging totals headed to socal. That will be the best chance of some widespread rain and a half inch possible. After that, some spotty rain chances on wednesday, also into thanksgiving, and well begin to try to dry out once we hit fridays forecast. Look at the inland valleys from 70 on sunday down to 50 here on wednesday. 52 on thanksgiving. Morning lows in the 30s. Cold here, even colder in the sierra. Once you get up there, it will be good, but traveling will be treacherous on tuesday night and wednesday. Snow levels, 1,500 feet. And we are looking at totals anywhere from two inches near 1,500, 2,000 feet, to maybe 20 inches at the summit.
