Investigators have been on the scene all morning long of a deadly crash in san jose where we know nine people are hurt. Today, we are joined by kris sanchez with more. Reporter this happened at about 10 00 last night. Still activity here at this intersection of jackson street and alum streets. A tesla is one of three vehicles ators are using out here to try to piece together what happened. Show you vidcene after this threecar crash that happened last night. Heyere head the hospital by ambulance. One of those people did not survive. We know this is, indeed, a deadly crash. Also there was a baby in one of those three cars but the baby was checked out here at the scene and unhurt, along with the parents. In all nine hurt in the crash and witnesses say happened very fa fast. I tried to see if they were okay. Looked like the driver was dead but i saw him breathing. I pulled him [ inaudible ] saw ambulance was coming so i told him to guyn the back had slash in his head about an inch open and [ inaudible ] and i told him to relax. Reporter the witness mentioned speed we dont know if speed was a factor nor whether the rain we got overnight might have contributed to the threevehicle crash. Again, three vehicles involved and one a tesla and a suv and a sedan and all being removed from the scene. One person who firefighters say they saw coming out of that one of those vehicles that was the one where the people had to be cut out and another person in that vehicle took off on foot. We dont know what the relationship is between that person, whether that person was a driver or a passenger nor why that person might have fled. Mike, youre tracking this.
