New this morning, a teenage couple attacked and stabbed in a quiet south bay neighborhood. Happened in the area of hamilton avenue and phoenix road. A witness says her 17yearold nephew and his 18yearold girlfriend were stabbed during a confrontati confrontation. It is not known why the attack happened. Both victims were taken to the hospital and their condition is unknown. His mom saw them and she came downstairs and tried to take them apart. She tried to bring them upstairs, but there was too much blood. Police are still canvassing the area looking for clues. The parents of a san bruno teenager have been arrested and charged with a hate crime. The alleged victim, their daughters boyfriend. Police say the parents tied up the 17yearold boyfriend with a rope and threatened him, but there is more to the sorry. Here are the bizarre details. Reporter katherine showed us the closet where her parents found the 17yearold alleged victim. Did he jump out at them . Yeah, he did. Reporter she says her mother and stepdad were caught off guard because they didnt know who he was. He was asking who are you, we dont know who you are, like what are you doing in my house. Reporter gomez showed us their backyard where we noticed a chair just below her sisters window, and that is where the 17yearold was coming and going from the house for two day as without them knowing. Of a t ter t he was found in the closet and tied him up but eventually let him go. The 17yearold went to the Police Department and told them he was attacked. These family members ultimately restrained the victim using rope, held him against his wome will, assaulted him and threatened to kill him. Reporter the three parents are facing multiple felony charges including a hate crime. The 17yearold alleged victim is black and police say the parents used racial slurs during the incident. Im upset about it. They are saying that it was a hate crime because he was africanamerican. It was nothing like that at all. Were not racist at all. Reporter an older sister says her family has never caused any problem, none has ever had any runins with the law. Police say the 17yearold victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for minor wounds an released. And developing right now, at least four inmates are hurt in a prison fight in san diego. The riot late last night. Officials say several inmates began fighting in a recreation yard. Emergency vehicles arrived and eventually the prison staff was able to restore order. The four injured inmates were taken to the hospital. No word on their condition. No Staff Members were reported injured in the fight. Thousands of people in san jose were without power last night after a tesla crashed into a power pole sparking a fire. It happened at 6 00 a. M. And we spoke with a witness who says that he was behind the driver when her car suddenly started to beingaxlccelerate an control. Went up on top of the curb, hit pieces of trees, a piece of the car was flying. She kept accelerating until she hit the final pole that stopped her. The driver says that she he says the driver told him she was on automatic pilot when it happened. Fortunately the driver and her toddler passenger were okay. A developing story out of the east bay. An arrest last been made in a triple shooting that happened early yesterday morning in a home that has ties to the Golden State Warriors center. He said his roommate was wearing body armor and had multiple guns. Deputies found he three men in the home suffering from gunshot wounds. They were rushed to the hospital, one with lifethreatening injuries. A s. W. A. T. Team cleared the home, found a handgun but not the shooter. Two teens are trying to go get attention of a major clclot line. They gathered asking for gap to stop throwing away thousands of plastic hangers every year. They say that the company should reuse the hangers and help the environment. Their protest has been gaining steam for months after they made a Youtube Video and spent their plea directly to the gap. People asked repeatedly to stop this, start using wood or reusable hangers or find some way that they can reuse plastic hangers, not use them at all and now proper this waste. The teens efforts seem to be paying off. They got an email from old navy saying that the company has started a Pilot Program in portland to recycle their hangers. And what i understand, this is not the only black cat looking for forever homes. Yes, he is one of many. We have about 27 in our shelter right now that are looking for forever homes. Because of that, we are running a promotion for a very limited time only, it will be 100 off the normal adoption fee. So for any black cat in the shelter, it will be 25 to adopt one or two if you would like. And that is interesting, i knew from experience that had donting o i adopting out black dogs was more challenging. Does that seem to be the case with black cats . How do you explain all the black cats waiting for homes or is it just a querk . Kind of a combination of both. We do have a lot of black cats, but they do move a little slower than some of over the cats. A lot of people graph tight toward ttaf at a time toward the lighter colors.
