No testimony concern iing the blacked out portions. Also off limits tomorrow is privileged information. Decisions made during the investigation and any communication with the president. Im not going to be watching. I think the president is terrified. Reporter mueller is set to spend five hours with the judiciary and intelligence committees talking about his report on Russian Election interference. It did not indict or clear President Trump on obstruction of justice. Muellers promised he wont say anything new. The report is my testimony. I would not provide information beyond that which is already public in any appearance before congress. Reporter democrats believe most americans havent read the 448page report and will be shocked to hear the details. St will be important for us to go through the evidence of conspiracy, the evidence of collusion. Because it is damning whether it can be prosecuted or not. Reporter republicans accuse democrats of staging an unnecessary sideshow. But they are on the same page when it comes to your money and how washington is spending it. At least for now. President trump says hes come up with a budget deal to add two years into the summer of 2021 with congressional leaders on both sides. Bob redell joins us live this morning. This app was allowing kids to connect with strangers. Very concerning for parents. Reporter its ined a investigator tenlt, according to facebook. Facebook messenger kids, its an app for children 13 years of age and younger, that gives them a controlled environment to communicate with their friends. Its supposed to only allow communications with those approved by parents. But the website reports theres a flaw in the app that allows kids to enter group chats with strarngs. People who parents did not approve. Facebook has quietly shut down those chat rooms and alerted parents of this technical flaw. A flaw that allowed their childrens friends to start a group chat and invite other people authorized for their childrens friends but not their own chirp. Facebook has had problems when it comes to user privacy. In the south bay, the search continues for a hitandrun driver who left a man with series injuries. This happened two weeks ago right at 680. That driver was speeding off the freeway and thats when the car struck the victim who was walking. The suspects car described as a ford taurus or mercury sable. May have damage to the front right fender. Anyone with information is asked to call police. 6 35 right now. An incredible newly released visdeo out of fremont that show an officer pulling someone from a burning car. Take a look at it there. This happened not far from 680 in the palm springs district saturday night. The officer was being praised for his act of bravery. The 28yearold victim was rushed to the Trauma Center and is expected to be okay. The officer says that any other officer he works with would have done the same thing. Wow, true act of bravery there. Came to the scene and rescued them. Firefighters that rush into the burning building or trying to escape. Thank goodness for a good result there after being pulled from the burning vehicle. The home office and phone were raided by officers investigating the leak of a Police Report on the death of public defend er. But working journalist. Im not going to be watching mueller because you cant take all those bites out of the apple. We had no collusion, no obstruction. Thats not correct. The Mueller Report said it couldnt establish the Trump Campaign conspired with the russians. It did say the Trump Campaign waswell aware of the russians help and benefitted from it. And the president is very incorrect about obstruction. The second half of the Mueller Report lays out ten instances of obstruction, but charging the president with a crime was, therefore, not an option we could consider. To bring you back up to spooed shs the report says the russians interfered, the Trump Campaign knew about it and benefitted from it. But again the special counsel couldnt prove a conspiracy. It did establish that the Trump Administration impeded and interfered with the investigation, but refused to prosecute. Apparently leaving it to congress. So this is what the report says in print. But polls show only about 1 in 10 American Adults is actually read the report. So even if mueller says absolutely nothing new, what he says tomorrow may be damaging. People wont read the book, but they will watch the movie. Television is that powerful. Case in point, water gate. Nixon had support at the start of the hearings in 1973. Even after some of his closest aids had been fired or resigned over the breakin. But the hearings on Television Changed american attitudes. Will that happen tomorrow . So with that, we could still see some thunder and more clouds over parts of the southern sierra. We do still have the fog near the coast. So as we go through the next several days new york city change in the set yep. Were going to see more clouds, a chance of some storms and also higher humidity there. Look at how hot our valleys get over the next several days. No relief as we reach into the 90s. And it even continues into the end of the weekend. Looking at San Francisco, we get some fog. The rag canyon fire burned about 55 acres near the lake. It started yesterday afternoon. At last check its 60 contained. Nine homes remain evacuated this morning. You have to be prepared, i guess. Ready to go when they tell you. Tired of fires. The last three years, we have had a lot of fires. Were fortunate we havent had any fires on our property, but its come pretty close. The fire is burning near where the atlas fire burned 51,000 acres during the north bay fire storm. The atlas fire killed six people in napa county. Happening today, a new push to provide people a safe place to park. City leaders will discuss a twoweek Parking Permit Program. This is a major turn. You may recall in february the Council Voted to ban rvs from parking in the city from 2 00 a. M. And 5 00 a. M. That bans rv s throughout berkeley. There are 200 parked rvs in the city currently. They may not need all of it. We took a quick tour of the venues this morning. Its a 16hour time difference between here and the bay area. Tokyo is a big city that handles millions of people every day. So they are going to be in good shape for the games next year. I know that youve got a lot to prepare for with all the athletes as well. Some of the athletes are still competing just to be able to compete, qualify, i should say. Reporter absolutely, thats a big part of the story. People with bay area ties making a comeback. Katielet decky, i was talking to her about coming back for a third olympic games. Shes at the World Championships right now. Not having the run she hoped at the World Championships, but i know how much tokyo means to her. So many athletes in your backyard are training to get here next year and making the team is where it begins. It doesnt matter what you have done before. You have to be good enough to be here in 2020. I know the athletes are training to get prepared. Im sure youre doing some training to know all the names and all that stuff. How do you keep track of all that . Reporter piles of research.
