Instead of 90 or 100 degrees, more comfortable, talking 70s or 80s. Sevenday forecast is about to see temperatures trending below average for a change. Which is a nice refreshing shift compared to temperatures this weekend. Were seeing mid90s and upper 90s in a few spots. Right now walnut creek, 88 degrees. So that is the hot end of the temperature spectrum around the bay area. Breeze at 10 miles per hour. At the opposite end of the spectrum, looking at it there. Low clouds in San Francisco. 64 degrees. Sea breeze up to 18 miles per hour, in san jose high clouds. Cirrus clouds made of ice cristals that might have notices during the day halo or rainbowlike effects with the reflected sunlight. Winds out of the northwest at 14. And the wind speed picking up to lead to cooling temperatures is good news for air quality. Next 24 hours. In fact for the most of the week as temperatures continue on the downward trend, air quality for this time of the year is looking good. Speaking of the wind. Right now you have winds 15 to 25. Similar tomorrow and i think things may turn gusty along the coastal hilltops. Not only bringing in the cooler air but wind speed that will pick up as cooling trend kicks in by tuesday and wednesday. So notice the high clouds thinning out as we head toward the morning and patchy areas of low clouds and once again the ocean air turning strong during tomorrow afternoon. So highs tomorrow trending another five to eight degrees cooler and then trending below average. Mid50s to start the day tomorrow. Look out for some patchy fog and some drizzle near the coast. And highs tomorrow in the low 80s for most of the valley. So away from 90 degrees. As we still saw today around concord and livermore, notice the temperatures coming back into the mid80s trivalley. 70s bayside closer to oakland and hayward. Near 70 in san mateo. Upper 60s in San Francisco. And north bay temperatures trending into the upper 70s and low 80s. Now we may even see temperatures cool down into the mid70s for the valley. Look at what is happening here in the long range forecast. It looks more like february or march. Rain in the pacific northwest. The oppose of High Pressure and a trough anchored on the west coast will reinforce the cooling breeze and keep temperatures running mild even into next weekend while the rain chances for now stay too far to the north. But well watch those and see if that system manages to make its way further south toward next sunday. So notice the sevenday forecast. Nothing extreme here. Just kind of on cruise control. Trending cooler. A bit windy, though. Tuesday and wednesday, look at the valley temperatures. Just about a week ago we had numbers here 100 to 105 degrees. Now 90s have gone away from the map.
