Today chp reports the girls mother pulled over when she saw a passenger in a white car brandishing a black firearm and that the white car waited for her to pull out before firing. Reporter the officer also says the 1785 shooting last night may be a road rage incident. Its still being investigated. He said potentially valuable evidence, a bullet, was recovered. Several trails and roads in the marin head lands will be closed to accommodate the work. Pg e will put in a temporary line while permanent towers are put in. We spoke to some people in sausalito about these repairs. Theyre physically responsible for anything that they have up there on the hill. Its their property. I mean, we pay them, you know, everyone in the bay area is with pg e, we have to pay pg e, they make good money. I dont see why they shouldnt have to replace it. The repairs started after the camp fire in november. Utilities are completely shutting down a problematic transmission line in butte county. Taking that drastic shep of completing shutting down a transmission line may seem out of character for pg e. Jaxon van derbeken joins us now in the newsroom. Why are they doing this, jaxon . Reporter the line was on a tower that was approximately 100 years old. They found a line had snapped. They found 20 serious threats that could immediately cause problems. Rather than put all the money and effort into fixing it, they just decommissioned it altogether. People have complained that pg e has not spent enough money on fixing problems. Does this demonstrate a question. Critics have said pg e should have been inspecting all these lines all along. Their response is, were looking now specifically to counter the wildfire threat. As a result they found hundreds of serious threats, actually 1,200 critical threats and thousands of lesser threats that they had to if i cfix. The jury in the ghost ship trial finished today, wrapping up three days of intense questioning. Prosecutors say max harris was the righthand man. The fire killed 36. Even though he was manage the door of the ghost ship on the fire, max harris told the jury he had no idea how many people were inside the warehouse that night. He didnt even realize that people had died until the day after, when he was the news reports. Max harris also told the jury today that he didnt even know people were trapped on the second floor of the warehouse. He said, quote, i wish i went upstairs, i dont. I dont know if i would be sitting here. I did the best that i could. The prosecution also zeroed in on questionable information that harris gave investigators when he was arrested two years ago. Harris initially said that the warehouses back stairs were blocked on the night of the fire. Today he cleared that up by saying it was misinformation that he heard from several sources. His supporters say harris was honest on the stand, but one woman who lost her partner in the fire says harris lost all of her sympathy when he admitted to stretching the truth. He lies constantly. Hell lie, and theyll put up some evidence to catch him in the lie. Hes doing it over and over and over again. City leaders want the office space traded out for more housing and retail. Reporter unfortunately theres no cure. And once infected, the birds will end up dying. Experts say its highly contagious. Anything a sick bird touches can spread the disease. A teenaged girl is recovering after being attacked by a sea lion on a popular Central Coast on camera. The 13yearold was playing on the beach when a sea lion rushed out of the water, charged at her, and bit her leg. Others on the beach scared off the animal. I felt it on my leg, looked down and freaked out. I didnt even know what it was, all i knew was something was attacking me. The sea lion was captured and is being treated for a possible brain toxin.
