The allegations are that the company in charge cheated on the cleanup. This all started when the navy decided to take a closer look at tetratech, the company they hired to clean up radiation at the shipyard. Former workers spoke exclusively to nbc bay area alleging widespread fraud by the company. Now the navy says it found even more evidence of potential fraud. The navy looked at tetratechs data measuring the amount of radiation contamination at the shipyard. The report says evidence of potential data manipulation and falsification was discovered during the navys evaluation. This isnt the first time tetratech misled the navy. Officials caught tetratech mishandling soil samples and falsifying data in separate locations. This came to light through a public records request filed by the group green action. Green action filed another petition today citing new revelations of potential fraud. Now this report is a draft report and the navy says it doesnt comment on draft documents.
