Reporter an alarm on the dialysis machine sounded but Family Members told investigators the nurse simply silenced it without checking further. He said when the nurse pulled a blanket there was a pool of blood on the bed and the line was disconnected. She witness ed the Family Member die right in front of you. Of course, i saw it too. I had to try to keep it together because no one else was. Reporter the familys Attorney Says the dialysis machine data indicated the alarm sounded for 13 seconds for it was silenced. The nurse told state Health Investigators she did not hear any alarm. The state fined kaiser 47,000 for his death and 12,000 for not reporting it. Did you think of this as a coverup . Absolutely.
