Reporter and one of the reasons why they have triggered tonights surge in Police Officers is because they spotted social media posts advertising a large sideshow here in oakland this evening. Now, police say those illegal events can be very dangerous. In the last two weeks sideshows in san jose and oakland, the event have turned violent. Two weekends ago a Police Officer was hit by a car as he was trying to write a citation. Officers will not share where theyre going to be tonight because they dont want to give away a tactical advantage, but they are getting the word out in advance on purpose in hopes that some people wont show up tonight. When we have advanced knowledge, it really helps to get out there and spread the word. If they know were going to be out here in force, theyre less likely to come. Reporter now, this video is of a recent motorcycle sideshow in hayward. Tonight Oakland Police officers will be saturating city streets and california Highway Patrol officers will be out patrolling the freeways. Sideshow participants face the possibility of arrest, citation, and getting their vehicles impounded. Now, officers are also going to be monitoring social media to see if the organizers shift tonights sideshow to nearby communities. If they do, they plan on providing backup to their neighbors. Highway patrol says a gray suv was heading eastbound near air base parkway about 9 00 this morning when someone inside fired at a white camry. The driver of the camry was hit by the gunfire. The driver was taken to the hospital with what are described as nonlifethreatening injuries. Police are still looking for the gray suv and the suspected gunman. Something vets from the vietnam war era didnt always receive for returning home. Its been a Long Time Coming where now its been exposed more often, and people are saying to you thank you for your services and it really hits home. We didnt get that parade when we got home. The same year kelley was convicted of assaulting that wife and fracturing her babys skull. He killed 25 people and an unborn child last weekend.
