All the activity took until just about an hour ago, just after 3 30 they reopened the lanes. New this morning, terrifying moments in the east bay, a driver slams into a familys home overnight. This happened in san leandro off of patton avenue. Some schools tested revealed levels four times the federal standard. Mcclymonds high school is one of the places where they tested high for lead. It turns out it happened last year as well. Still green as we look at san jose and saratoga, english town as well as evergreen and south coyote. We are going to see some of that light rain continuing. As we look at the east bay, very hit or miss activity around concord and the peninsula, redwood city, moving up towards san mateo, 280 and 101 still wet driving up the peninsula. As we look at our high temperatures today it is going to be a very mild day, only reaching into the low to mid 60s, a few upper 60s in spots like antioch where we get a little bit more sunshine today but expect a mix of sun and clouds and you just have to be prepared for it all. Today we will have a mixed bag of weather and a hat would be a very good option, you also want to make sure youre prepared with that umbrella somewhere close by even though it wont be raining all day. Lets take a look at how this pans out for this afternoon. We will start to see some clearing by 8 00 and at times some rain. Every now and then we will see that popping up on the radar, parts of the north bay may have some rain at 11 00 and then we will see some very isolated cells moving through by 1 00, 2 00 to 3 00 today. So very hard to get in an exact timing and location today, but once again you just want to be prepared for very quickly changing weather even into early tomorrow morning there still will be a chance of showers moving through but that will mainly be during the morning and then some afternoon sunshine. Saturday looks all clear. Sunday a very late chance of rain into early monday morning and we will see a couple more waves of this rain moving through. So looking at a fairly nice forecast here, you just have to know when to get out there and when to run back inside. And, mike, youre saying theres a few spinouts this morning. We always warn about the conditions when there are even damp roadways and there are throughout the bay right now, maybe the wetter roadways, you see our road index, the green highlighting here and over here in the trivalley and farther north, thats where the traffic conditions may be wetter based on the weather data that were getting. Over here were looking to the south bay, there was a pspinout here, it is affecting only the off ramp itself, one lane is closed, no major injuries and slicker conditions might remain. Yesterday the defense had a firearms expert testify that in his opinion the shooting was unintentional. Here is the defense. If you look at all of the factors, the location of the strike mark, the training of the person handling the gun, whether it was single shot or multiple shots, you look at all of that together, he concluded that this has the appearance of an unintentional discharge.
