The express lanes will function in the same fashion as the ones already in operation on 580 between livermore. And between 880 and 237 in the south bay. Now, the northbound 680 express lane will run 11 miles in san ramone all the way north to the road and walnut creek. The southbound direction will be 12 miles long all the way south to the boulevard. Theyll be two tolls in each direction, both split in half. The pricing will be based on demand. 50 cents per toll zone with no maximum. They had 5 or 6 just to get you a sense.
