Well i can tell you that a 47yearold man was air lifted to a hospital in walnut creek with a serious head injury, that is according to a ranger on the scene. The other camper described in late 30s, early 40s was also taken to the hospital treated for scrapes and bruises. Tree branch fell in a live oak, about 2. 5 feet in diameter. At about 10 40 last night. Other campers were there with the two men. They were unhurt. The campground is booked solid, full of about two dozen campers. One of the over campers nearby described what happened. We were sleeping in the tent. And then we heard some crackling and we thought what is the crackling, we thought maybe fireworks, fourth of july. And then it just started crashing and a loud boom. And i was concerned. We were all concerned. And we were afraid a tree had fallen and hit someone because we could hear noises. The individual camp sight has been cordoned off. But the campground is allowed to stay open. And the campers are being allowed to stay there and at other campgrounds throughout the park.
