Knox man arrested for alleged multi-day kidnapping, gross sexual assault, terrorizing

KNOX — A Knox man was arrested for alleged multi-day kidnapping and gross sexual assault at his place of residence.
Larry G. Alexander, 64, of Knox, was arrested June 24, though the incident allegedly took place from June 20 through June 23. Alexander has been charged with gross sexual assault, kidnapping, terrorizing, and assault.
According to an affidavit filed by Waldo County Sheriff’s Sergeant Detective James Greeley, law enforcement was alerted about the alleged crime by the victim, a woman who was reportedly friends with Alexander. The victim and Alexander had reportedly known each other for a couple of months and were friends, though there was no romantic relationship between the two.
