Knight puts up $5 million to fund digital news outlet Signal Akron

From Crain's Akron Business: Like many cities, Akron has suffered from a dearth of local reporters in recent years, the Knight Foundation says. It's funding a new outlet with a new approach to community-based journalism that combines local reporters with a statewide support network.
