"You can imagine how relieved we were to finally see that," said project construction manager Bill Slawter.
Construction started in June on a multi-year renovation of the elementary school, to add a new classroom wing to replace modular classrooms, build a new bus entrance driveway, modernize the school's interior and utilities, and move students into the new addition as the rest of the building is renovated.

Slawter and district Director of Facilities and Operations Tom Schneider gave another update on Nov. 30 to the school board's facilities and operations committee, detailing how the arrival of the crane and structural steel could help the project get back on target.
