KUALA LUMPUR: Police have seized over 200kg of ganja and arrested two people following a tip-off, says Comm Datuk Saiful Azly Kamaruddin.
The Kuala Lumpur police chief said the first seizure was made after the arrest of a 49-year-old man in Kampung Batu Muda at about 5.40pm on Monday (Jan 4).
Comm Saiful Azly said the police then checked two cars parked by the roadside and seized 14.4kg of ganja and RM1,070 in cash.
“The investigation led police to another vehicle hidden in some bushes nearby, where 187.4kg of ganja was found," he told a press conference at the city police headquarters on Friday (Jan 8).
