The department was dispatched 1:28 p.m. Wednesday to the Elm Grove Trailer Park in northeast Columbia.
When the department arrived 3403 Elm Grove Drive, No. 7, smoke was seen coming from the front door.
The fire was contained to a back bedroom. Investigators determined the cause of the fire was accidental, and that the blaze caused $2,500 in damage. There were no reported injuries and the home's occupants had exited safely prior to the department's arrival, the department said.
Eight fire department units responded to the call.
