Kings Mountain hires 5-time state champion coach Strait Herron as next HC

Kings Mountain has tapped a former South Carolina state champion head coach to lead its strong football program. Strait Herron won five state championships as the head coach at South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Herron was named the national coach of the year in 2018 by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He coached in the 2018 edition of that all-star game.
