Killeen Murder-Suicide Under Investigation
A Killeen man is believed to have shot and killed his wife late Tuesday night before turning the gun on himself, taking his own life.
According to a press release from the Killeen Police Department, a couple was having a domestic dispute when things took a horrible turn.
Officials arrived at the couple's home in the 3900 block of Tatonka Drive at 11:54 PM Tuesday, February 23 after receiving a 911 call in reference to a shooting.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the female victim and the male were involved in a domestic disturbance when the male produced a handgun and shot his wife. The male was in the garage when officers arrived. Police say he shot himself while police were at the scene.
