NEW DELHI: Kia on Tuesday announced the company crossed 2.5-lakh sales figures in India in less than 22 months. The Korean carmaker will introduce the refreshed Seltos and Sonet in May.
A top company official also confirmed a new product entry by early 2022. In all likelihood, Kia may debut a 7-seater SUV to rival Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
The company officially announced the corporate name changed from ‘Kia Motors India’ to ‘Kia India’.
The company also aims to expand its dealership network. Hardeep Singh Brar, VP and head of sales and marketing, Kia India, said, "To strengthen its reach, Kia is expanding its strong network to 360 touch points covering 218 cities including tier-3 and select tier-4 towns by the end of this year."
