Her desire to become a firefighter was almost extinguished. Someone close to telling her she couldnt do it there he told her it was a mans job and she cant do it because she is a woman. You will break a nail. They will never hire you. You cant do it. You will never get picked. You never tell her she cant do something because she will go do it. Yes, ladies, yes, ladies. You are strong, girl. Just like fire, her warmth and light spread to everyone, especially the young ladies she started men touring through her free worlds future fire camp. She is like my firefighter mom. As soon as she starts speaking, everybody gets a smile on their face. I have my first big fire call in the first thing i did was text her after, look at what i did. She was so proud of me being a girl and dominating in the industry that that its easy to look down on you. What she taught me was she taught me eye to eye, she does a great job of connecting with kid and making sure they have that confidence. She has some people that goes way beyond just firefighting.
