Even though the law took hold in february 2021, oregon didnt begin disbursing funds until may 2022. So far, 264 million has gone to 233 providers. I fundamentally believe by criminalizing addiction, we are keeping people in a spiral, a downward spiral. And yet i do think that sometimes, people need motivations to get into treatment in a way that the criminal Justice System offers.
