Neighbors have ignored that sign year after year and the creator of the san jose haunted forest on vernon avenue is thrilled that they do. The outpouring of love and support that we receive every year, is it really means so much to us from the creepy rat man to the startling witch named lily. Each spooky detail of the display was created for shelley jimenezs son, christopher. He and his twin sister were born prematurely. Christopher has terminal lung disease and other complications. The last several months has been really difficult. He no longer leaves the house. He no longer comes outside. He is in a pretty much like a state of dementia. Becoming homebound several years ago kept christopher from going out and seeing holiday lights, something he always loved. So in 2018, his mom brought the lights to him. The next year, 2019. So im so glad that shes doing this. This is amazing. The display, though, isnt just attracting people from around the block. People come from fresno, san diego, way, way up north, jimenez says. Its that Community Support that inspires her to continue the display, even as things have become more challenging for her family. I was not going to do it this year because, like, i said, he hes not doing well. But i. I could not let the community down because they they enjoy it so much. And its actually a gift to me and my family. Jimenez says she cant be sure that her son knows the display is back. This year, but does her best to tell him about it. He has a blank stare on his face, but i. I hope that he really knows that ive kept this tradition up for him in san jose, zach fuentes, abc seven news. Yeah. So weve had contingency plans as it goes and hes been banged up for a few weeks before that too. So well give him a chance to hopefully settle down and come back 100. Debo is a pretty unique player. Not many people are like him in the league, so it does change things up. But weve got a bunch of good receivers and a bunch of good running backs. I feel great for my own standard. I dont know how everyone else feels, but i feel great. Each week is the same, you know, and its always going to come down to execution on on sunday. You know, theres a lot of time between now and the game about getting in the book, understanding exactly what the game plan calls for and going out there and just executing and playing really good football and another friendly reminder monday night football 40 niners and vikings right here on abc seven coverage begins at five followed by after the game.
