A Small Business owner is pleading to get her taco truck back after someone stole it over the weekend. Ive been crying all day. I mean, and on top of that, i borrowed 9,000 from my sister to me wasnt that someone took my truck . It was like someone took my hopes, my dreams. I feel like they took my soul. Thats anya sandoval. She tells us her taco truck was stolen saturday night near broadway. And piedmont. Sandoval makes Authentic Mexican food from scratch. And she put her life savings into buying this truck. Shes only had the truck for four months, and she says it holds special significance. Sandoval is transgender. She recently transitioned and she says this truck was a symbol for how far shes come. If you could tell all the person or persons who took your van on anything, or you could speak to them, what would you say to them . Give it back to me. Ill cook for you for the rest of my life. Please give it back to me. Because its not just a truck. Its a you know, there are my dreams, my hopes, my happiness. And she says her insurance will not cover the theft and estimates the loss at 45,000. Shes hopeful that someone will come forward and give her an idea of where this truck is. A new phase in the effort to recall Alameda CountyDistrict Attorney pamela price is now underway. The group save or save alameda for everyone started collecting signatures for the recall over the weekend. And they say price has failed to responsibly prosecute criminals. Brenda grisham, who lost her son to gun violence, says the county needs to do more to keep the community safe. The focus of the Das Department is not to just set aside the families that have lost their loved ones. You have to work with these families in order to make a difference and to help other families. Theyre not going to court and letting due process have its way. Were stepping. Theyre stepping in and doing plea deals and not, you know, informing the parents of whats going on. And thats unfair. Uh safe has until march 5th to gather more than 70,000 signatures to get the recall on the ballot next year. We asked price about the recall effort last week. She said she was elected by the people of Alameda County and is doing what she was elected to do. A group of west oakland residents are taking their Community Safety into their own hands in an effort to address concerns about violence in the community. Again, the crash in union city cleared. However, we are following another crash. This is a four car crash in hayward. It is blocking four lanes on southbound, 880 at 92. So that will impact people who are going to the san mateo bridge. And if you look right there, the speeds are down to ten Miles Per Hour because of this. And then another thing to note this morning, i know i experienced a lot of fog when i was driving into work this morning, so keep that in mind. You might come across foggy roads this morning or fog on the roads. I should say. The chp has actually issued a fog advisory on the Golden Gate Bridge. Bay area native Suzanne Somers has passed away after a years long battle with a battle with breast cancer. The Threes Company star first attended Mercy High School in burlingame. And then Cappuccino High School in san bruno. Some has appeared in many tv shows throughout the 70s, but of course, most famously in abcs hit series Threes Company. During the fifth season, she demanded a raise to make equal to what her male costar john ritter was reportedly making a move that she said led to her firing. Summers only rose from there, becoming a singer, a business mogul and best selling author, tackling subjects like aging, beauty and wellness. If you believe in yourself and you focus and youre willing to work like a dog, you can make your dreams come true. Somers was said to be in good spirits in her final days and was surrounded by family before her death yesterday. Today is her birthday. She would have turned 77. British film star Michael Caine announced he is retiring from acting the two Time Academy Award winner confirmed his retirement on the best of today podcast over the weekend. Hes well known for his roles in the batman movie series kingsman and inception. The 90 year old says his last acting gig was the great escaper, which came out earlier this month.
