These are the moments that people inside the chinese consulate in San Francisco ran to get outside after police say a man drove a car right through the front of the building, then began feuding with Security Guards. So then once we heard gun, then we were like, okay, we got to get out of the building because there was no exit behind us at all. And then this man turned to his car and he tried to get something from his car. And at this moment, the Security Guard kind of ran to him and very able to hold him somewhat. And at this moment where people started to run. Audrey says it was the work of those Security Guards that distracted the man and allowed them to get out. And i really was grateful because when i look back in the video, i could hear him say like, dont hurt them. Like you dont want to hurt them. Like or Something Like that. He clearly tried to get something from his car because the Security Guard did not take it out. Thats what his Security Guard do not take it out. I do not know what that it meant, but thats when, you know, the confrontation happened. Everyone was able to get out. And as they did, police arrived. Detectives havent said what happened after that, but officers shot the man a short time later. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. As to who specifically he may have been looking for, police wont say. All of those who are inside the consulate when this went down told me they were extremely grateful for the work of those two Security Guards inside immediate approaching the suspect, which allowed them to safely get out. The white house is confirming at least 11 americans are among the more than 1500 People Killed as a result of the war between israel and hamas. And a live look now from the gaza strip right now where it is just past 9 a. M. Tuesday morning. There fighting which began saturday has intensified, died in the last 24 hours. Israel has launched an aggressive counter offensive attack bombarding gaza and hitting more than 1000 military targets. Tonight, the Israeli Defense minister calls it a total siege, cutting off all gas, electricity and power to gaza. Hamas has threatened to begin executing hostages if israel continues its shelling of residential areas. At least 900 have been killed in israel and the death toll in gaza is nearing 700 palestinians, as according to authorities there. The secretary general of the United Nations issued a plea for an end to the war. I recognize the legitimate grievances of the palestinian people, but nothing can justify these acts of terror and the killing, maiming and abduction of civilians. I reiterate my call to immediately cease these attacks and release all hostages. President biden will make remarks tomorrow addressing the war. Those are expected to come at 10 a. M. Our time. He is in the newsroom with how this conflict is affecting those here in the bay area. Tim. Thats right. Now, israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed earlier today to go after hamas with a force, quote, like never before. This war having an impact, not just on israelis and palestinians, though, but people around the world that includes locally right here in the bay area. The fighting between israel and hamas continuing for the Third Straight day on monday with the number of casualties already over 1000 continuing to rise. The Prime Minister of israel is vowing to turn gaza into rubble. Hamas terror is bound, burned and executed. Children, they are savages. Hamas is isis. This war is just the latest incident in a history of violence between the two sides that goes back decades. However its the most serious flare up to happen in at least 50 years. There have been thousands of missiles fired back and forth between israel and gaza since fighting began in. No one feels safe. I mean, you feel bombing is just random. I mean, it happens everywhere. Anytime while the conflict between israelis and palestinians has been ongoing for almost a century, questions have been raised. This time, particularly over the role of iran. Steven fish is a Political Science professor at uc berkeley who specializes in international relations. He says over the past few years, the dynamics of the middle east have been changing, with israel making peace and establishing formal relations with several arab nations. Supporters of the idea want the ferris wheel to be operational at the wharf. By the time the apec summit kicks off november 11th. A tight timeline, but not impossible to move the 150 foot sky star wheel in time. The apex summit is expected to bring 21 world leaders, 30,000 delegates and 1200 ceos from around the world to the city.
