Israeli missiles are still raining down on the gaza strip this morning. The military saying its targeting buildings occupied by hamas militants. Us warships and more fighter jets are now in route to the region, said to be aimed at bolstering deterrence. More than 1000 people have been killed since saturday. At least 700in israel and 400 in gaza. In the middle of it all, people were snatched from their homes and cars. And iran is now celebrating the bloody rampage as a victory. Forces hit more targets in gaza , destroying several sites described as operational headquarters for hamas. Two days after the militant Group Launched an unprecedented attack on israel. At least four americans are among the hundreds dead in israel. And sources say the Biden Administration is investigating unconfirmed reports of american citizens taken hostage along the Israeli Military estimates 1000 hamas fighters took part in saturdays attack, breaching Israeli Defenses with vehicles, boats and even hang gliders. That is home to millions of palestinians, along with thousands of Israeli Settlers and then to the southwest. It is gaza, specifically the gaza strip. It is home to 2 million palestinians and governed by the Extremist Militant Group hamas. On saturday, hamas launched rockets from here targeting major israeli cities and sent waves of fighters across the border into israel and in some cases took hostages back across the border into gaza. Israel is expected to retaliate in some major way against hamas in gaza. But experts say if they send too many military resources again here to the south in gaza, then they risk weakening their security here on the north border with lebanon, which is home to hamas ally hezbollah, another Extremist Group with terrorist ties, which is already attacked.
