Amanda county sheriffs crime scene investigators just pulled onto the scene a few moments ago. We know that Pleasant Hill police, that apartment also on scene, providing usual aid. They are taking care of security. All of the still developing at the hour. A lot of the attention has been focused on a large area around the velvet cannabis dispensary on Sunrise Drive in martinez. In the last hour, Contra Costa County sheriffs deputies pushed us back about 50 feet and we are working to confirm what happened here overnight. We are told officers responded to a possible burglary at the dispensary, working to confirm whether shots were exchanged between officers, suspect. Details on whether anyone was injured, how the suspects were involved, how any officers were involved and responded, all of that is still unclear. The suspect vehicle apparently crashed, which in their distance from where we are standing, we can see a car halfway onto the sidewalk was plenty of damage. It is still pretty difficult to see anything from where we are standing because they pushed us so far away. We did approach the same from the opposite end, and all of the activity is happening on an incline where the dispensary is located. A lot of people who work in the area in construction zones and neighboring businesses, as well, they are all coming onto the scene, asking questions about what is going on. Kumasi developing news on the standing fbi raid on officers tied to the antioch and Pittsburgh Police departments. The indictment, available by federal investigators yesterday, alleges Excessive Force and fraud between 10 lawenforcement officers. Seven of the officers are no longer with the departments, and three are on leave. The fbi raided the homes of the officers involved in an 18 month long investigation on a wide range of charges, including civilrights violations, wire fraud, and conspiracy to distribute it also exposed the racist text messaging scandal at the Antioch Police department. These four indictments describe a group of officers as though they were above the law. I do not see the feds making a splash this big unless they had Something Big to prosecute. Like i said, to me, the wire fraud charge, charges, are very interesting because that means there are transactions that happen here. And those are provable. Kumasi more than 100 fbi agents were involved in the arrests that have happened in texas, hawaii and california the last few days. Eight of the officers already had first appearances in court. The crimes have maximum sentences of 10 years to 20 years in jail if convicted. An update from the abc 7 news iteam, oakland wrapped up the formal review of a Ransomware Attack that crippled its data systems earlier this year. Hackers infiltrated oaklands networks in january. Since then, the ransom group has dumped home addresses, drivers licenses, Social Security numbers, and more on the dark web. Yesterday, oakland announced no more data has been released since april. The city has secured 10 william dollars in funding to strengthen its Information Systems going forward. Jobina the 44yearold man accused of shooting an officer is expected in court today. We drove to the other side of the scene but it was difficult to see anything because of where the Business Park is on an incline, so you cannot see anything above what seems to be a bunch of planters. Kumasi new this morning, a driverless crew car and a fire truck crashed in San Francisco late last night at the intersection of polk in the tenderloin district. Gloria rodriguez is in the newsroom with the video and the response from cruise early this morning. Gloria a passenger was injured in this collision. This comes about one week after cpuc voted to allow crews to expand Robo Taxi Services in the city, allowing them to charge for riderless drive clock. This footage shows a crews car that collided with the San FranciscoFire Department truck, responding to a call nearby. Driverless car with its passenger side doors smashed in. You can see the video. It happened after 10 00 last night at polk street in San Francisco. Crews posted on social media that one of their cars entered the intersection on a green light and was struck by an Emergency Vehicle on the way to the scene. One passenger was in the car. One crew member was treated with nonsevere injuries. The San Francisco fire chief has been vocal about opposing expanding robo taxi service in the city. San francisco officials are calling on regulators to pump the brakes on the expanded service of robo taxis in the city, citing safety issues. For City Attorney is leading the effort. He spoke with s yesterday. It is an Experimental Lab for the industry, and we think it is critical that they work with the city to make sure that our residents are safe and not interfering with First Responders, traffic flow, public transit, etc. Gloria early this morning, crews posted about the incident in San Francisco, saying they are investigating to better understand ourevs performance and will be in touch with San Francisco about the event. The company also posting their primary concern is the rider, their welfare, and that they are mindful of the First Responders and anybody affected by the incident. Now to the latest on the wildfires in now we. The death toll has risen to 111, and hundreds are still not accounted for. Crews have searched about 40 of the disaster zone of the island so far. Data and video from the night the fire started suggests damage powerlines may have spark the flames. Asked night, mauis top Emergency Management official resigned from the post, citing health reasons. It is happening one day after he defended his decision to not sound warning sirens as the wildfires swept across the island. The abc 7 iteam has learned that San Franciscos emergency sirens are coming back after silence since 2019. The city took them offline because they needed an upgrade and they were vulnerable to Cyber Security threats. Funding to fix them never made it to the top of the agenda but after what happened in hawaii, the stans has changed. One supervisor voted no last time there was a funding request, saying he thought the city should spend money on planning. Now, he is in support of bringing them back. I think lahaina has taught us this should be higher on the priority list and it is the reason i am moving forward with a funding package for it this year. Kumasi there are 119 sirens throughout San Francisco. It is estimated it will cost around 5 million for all of them, paid for with money the city has set aside for laguna honda hospital. Jobina another california town now using sirens to one of approaching wildfires is paradise. This is what they sound like if a fire is approaching. This is a test of the paradise Early Warning sirens. [warning sirens sounding] jobina installing them this spring but plans to have 21 towers spread throughout the county town. Only five people died when a campfire ripped through paradise in 2018. Kumasi right now in paradise, one restaurant is raising money to help maui residents rebuild. The owner, april keller, lived there for 16 years, and moved to paradise the year before she would have lost everything in the campfire. She is providing customers with ways to donate. Just like everybody else, the campfire was devastating. They are a community that is very strong, and we can help them financially and help them rebuild in the way they need to rebuild, and i think it is important that we let them tell us what they need. Jobina the city of oakland hopes to have a plan after an issue out of the city clerk office. City officials have used the wrong boundaries to prepare for the upcoming special election. It is for the vacant district five unified school board seat. They planned for november ballots to go to voters in a new district. It was created in the redistricting of the city two years ago, but the old boundaries are in effect until 2024. Now, the Alameda County register of voters says, both candidates addresses fall within the old boundaries, but they did not gather enough qualified signatures within the old boundaries, so, under the old boundaries, no candidates are qualified. We need more than anything else is a quick, calm resolution. Jobina the candidates are waiting for direction from oakland because the filing deadline has passed. The city hopes to have a plan by the end of the day. Kumasi a press conference scheduled for monday to address recent charges against donald trump has been canceled. The former president and 18 others were charged with felony racketeering for their alleged part in trying to overturn the 2020 Georgia Election results. Trump team requested a trial start date of april 2026, two years after the 2024 election. They are also trying expected to try and move to georgia charges into federal court. The special counsel has been adamant about starting a trial in january next year. Trump is expected to turn himself into the Fulton County jail next week. This is the first jurisdiction where he is getting a mugshot. That is going to be a little bit interesting.
