But this year many of the businesses have been hit hard because of the pandemic. Some dont have storefronts and rely on popup locations like this one. Abc7 meteorologist drew tuma with a look at the wind in the areas with that red flag warning. Dion, we have yet to see a significant storm to kind of end our fire season. Our ground is extremely parched. So when you combine that with another offshore wind event again overnight tonight, we are looking at our 13th red flag warning this year. Right now temperatures today we made it not low and mid60s. Tonight were slowly falling back into the 50s this evening. So were in store for a cool night tonight. Numbers you can see mainly settling in the 40s under clear skies. So tonight thanks to those offshore winds developing kind of dragging in some warmer air relatively speaking will not be as chilly as last night was. So, lets take a look at that red flag warning that will start at 11 00 p. M. Tonight. It does encompass the entire north bay. The east bay hills along with the inland east bay and the santa cruz mountains. It is a fairly large area of the bay that we are looking at. Now, those winds will be right around 15 to 25 miles per hour, but we do expect stronger gusts especially in our ridgetops over 45 miles per hour. So were looking at again those critical fire conditions thanks to these offshore winds. If we had a soaking rainstorm already this year, we wouldnt have to worry about the fire danger. However, our land is so dry that as winds increase early tomorrow morning by 8 00 a. M. , you can see were tracking high if not very high fire danger in parts of the bay area and really were going to hone in on the north bay. Because thats where it looks to find the highest fire danger with this offshore wind event. So well zoom into the north bay for you. By 8 00 a. M. Monday, you can see from napa over to eastern parts of sonoma county, very high if not extreme fire danger. Thankfully as those winds enter quickly, theyre going to exit quickly. So that fire danger really lessens as you go through the early afternoon hours. But you look at those winds again. Were watching that time frame 5 00, 6 00, 7 00 a. M. In the morning for those winds to be really gusty in the north bay, 25 to 30 miles per hour. Now if we make it to about 11 00 a. M. Tomorrow morning without any new fires, well be in the clear because those winds really back off by lunchtime. So were watching the Morning Hours very closely. Heres the accuweather forecast sevenday forecast. Its also a warm day in the 60s and 70s. The winds get out of here monday afternoon. The warm weather stays on tuesday.
