Reporter Police Agencies from santa rosa, Alameda County reporting to me that they had no major issues with the curfew overnight. And were here on University Avenue where a lot of restaurants will be serving for a few more hours before curfew begins. Of course not every county is part of the curfew. But many feel like they should be to avoid confusion. Day one of californias overnight curfew and Many Bay Area Police departments are giving the all clear. As of last night and this morning we have not had any issues, and we appreciate everybody following as best they can. We know this is difficult especially during the holiday seasons. Reporter police say most nonessential businesses were closed by 10 00 p. M. , and many nonessential workers were likely off the streets. Six bay area purpletiered counties where covid rates are spiking are under a mandatory curfew between 10 00 p. M. And 5 00 a. M. Through december 21st. Santa clara county wants the public to report this hotline to report any curfew violators. We havent received any complaints here at the covid19 center. Reporter that could change as we head into the holiday season. Santa clara county still with one of the highest covid rates in the state. 400 new cases per day. If we continue to see this increase at this rate, hospitals are going to reach their Maximum Capacity within three weeks. Reporter in neighboring San Mateo County, it remains in red tier with no curfew. But thats where some people are getting confused this is the spot where san mateo ends and Santa Clara County begins. So, in other words, curfew, no curfew. I think its kind of stupid. I think if one has the other one should too. Theres a lot of movement between the two counties so it might make sense for both counties to have the curfew. Covid fatigue, its real. Reporter San Mateo County supervisor says even though san mateo, San Francisco and marin countys are not part of the curfew yet, everyone should do their part, avoid large gatherings and stay at home if possible. At the end of it this virus knows no boundaries and knows no county lines. Reporter now the if you live in a curfew county, you can still walk your dog, go to the grocery store, or get takeout during curfew hours. Just avoid those large gatherings. But thats about it in terms of any wet weather. So, overnight tonight well see a mix of stars and clouds out there. That chance of isolated drizzle. Otherwise numbers in the mid30s to mid40s over the next 12 hours. Now, tomorrow, its very similar in terms of our temperatures. Well find increasing sunshine as those clouds get out of here. Upper 50s to mid60s. So pretty close to average for this time of the year. What is not close to average, rainfall. Look at this, next seven days, again, the storm track is staying well to our north.
