Matt willis explains more than 80 of covid deaths in the county were residents of longterm care facilities. The peak of the epidemic for us so far is in july where we had the highest number of cases in the community and the highest number of cases in longterm care facilities. Many were categorically not well equipped to manage the challenges of covid19. Reporter in the last four months, the number of new covid deaths in marin county declined since the peak in july. The peak of july was i think we had 39 deaths in the month of july and were on track for less than 20 for the month of october.
