Reporter tuesday, the San Francisco mayor repaused the opening on high schools and put stricter limitations on movie theaters and gyms. Now, no more than 50 people are allowed inside instead of 100. Its a Silver Lining that the smaller neighborhood gyms are not going to be effected. We want this to be over. If we all have to be outside to stay safe, were going to continue to do that. Reporter there was a San Francisco unified School Board Meeting tonight. The talk is that they wont start for any of the schools until january 25th. Already, a lot of parents and children are upset about having to wait another 2 1 2 months. Contra costa county was in the orange tier for two weeks. Offices can open only for essential workers. In the last two weeks, numbers have increased dramatically. Weve seen hospital case double in our county. We need to act quickly in response to those things. County Health Officials say it could move into the purple tier with more restriction s. Santa cruz county has been demoted back into the moore restrictive red tier. Health officials blame halloween activities. The just reopened beach boardwalk must close back up. In the north bay, Health Officials are pleading with local restaurants to cut back on indoor service. It comes amid a spike to covid cases. Restaurants are allowed to operate indoors at 50 capacity. In the meantime, a second Marin High School has suspended inperson classes over concerns that students might spread covid19 after unauthorized offcampus parties. Reporter these are outdoor blooms. The pop opportunities were empty after chris, who is head of the private high school, decides to shut down inperson learning. There were gatherings on halloween weekend, that had lan larger number of students. Reporter the school lfrd dealt with two asymptomatic infections before halloween. We all have to make sacrifices if we want to be here in school. This was a minority of students who actually went to these parties. The school made a great call to have us all back online.
