At least some of the ballots were put in a dropbox at Richmond City hall more than two weeks ago. One voter checked the county website to see if his ballot was received. It had not. So he contacted the Elections Office to find out why. We searched everywhere, we reviewed our practices, our logs, the machine logs scanning the ballots. In many states like california, the counting has already begun. California is one of 34 states where officials will count ballots but not release results until election day. Eight states wont process ballots until november 3rd, meaning results may seem skewed until ballots can be processed. A person who lives in Solano County is believed to be the first person in the bay area to contract the flu and covid19 at the same time. Public Health Officials are only saying that the person is under the age of 65. They are urging everyone to get a flu shot as soon as possible to reduce the risk of coinfection.
