County officials are praising residents for working hard to stop the spread of the virus and getting the county to the orange tier. Theyre also encouraging everyone to keep it up. As you look at this live picture, you have to think about this great timing as we move into daylight savings time and cooler weather. Locker rooms and showers at gyms would reopen and indoor restaurants, museums and places of worship can increase capacity to 50 . San francisco county, a large california county, very visible, won lots of, you know, different types of communities and neighborhoods, did today reach the yellow tier. They were benefited by the Health Equity metric. That metric requires counties to lower virus transmission levels in the most vulnerable populations before moving into the next tier. The city says another goal is to allow outdoor bars to reopen without the requirement to serve food. That could happen in midnovember. Dont count on a disneyland trip any time soon. Large theme parks cannot reopen until the county theyre in reaches the yellow tier. Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are in the red tier. You can see as we head into the noon hours, the winds will pick up again, 30 Miles Per Hour to 40 Miles Per Hour. So this is not only going to be a night event, its going to be a day event also for more of us. Its not clear if peterson will make an appearance in person or by video from san quentin. San quentin now has to cut half of its population after a lawsuit over the coronavirus outbreak. A California Appeals Court judge ruled that inmates have to be released or transferred to other facilities that can provide protective measures against the virus. Also prisoners over the age of 60 and have served at least 25 years of their sentence have to be included in any release program. All of the strategies in the state excluded this population for release when theyre the obvious people to let out because they aged out of crime. Theyre already old and they face the highest risk of covid because theyre old and suffer from various health problems. There are about 3,400 inmates currently at the prison in marin county.
